BUDAPEST- New Winner- ACTION BAR

Contrary to a couple reviews I read elsewhere online, Action Bar is very clean, very modern and 100% hot trade. First, I checked Haberlo and the Funny Carrot, the two adjacent to each other hustler bars. AWFUL. Basically the same ugly trash that has taken over Tabasco in Berlin. But Action Bar---WOW.

Action is located in a basement just off trendy Kalvin Terz. in Ezerbeth. You have to look for the building number 42 and it has a rainbow flag and big "A" on the door and a blinking "bar" sign. It seems very new and modern so maybe it was remodeled. It has some connection with Bel Ami which is in nearby Bratislava. The live sex show is advertised as midnight; when you get inside the sign says 1am; and it actually starts about 1:30 am. The two performers were young porn stars I've seen in films. First was a nude dance by a muscle-bound guy, then live sex by two very good-looking guys. On it's website Action actually shows the two performers who will have sex on stage that week. They do kissing, stripping each other then mutual sucking followed by fucking. The sex show lasts about a half hour.

Not only the performers but several other hustlers show up in the bar. There's a room with slings, etc and then two locked rooms you can have your "date" in. Many of the guys leave with customers after a sample in a room. Basically like Drake's in Prague.Cover is just 1000 HF, about $4. Drinks are cheap and they run a tab.

There was a muscular very good-looking guy I wanted but he got snapped up as did a slender blond. So I don't know the rates yet. I'm sure there're less than Prague. One of the performers said something to me as I was leaving but not in English. He was a georgous dark-haired blue-eyed musuclar guy.The guys are about evenly divided between blond and dark hair. I'm here for a week so I'm sure I'll find out everything.

Tomorrow night, Saturday, is "oral-academy" where customers have oral sex with the performers. 100% rock-hard large endowments. Again, $4 cover.

Whoa! I liked your post very much! Too back that I missed the clubs mentioned when I was in Budapest in 2013. Well, here is definitely another city that I will have to revisit! Do report back, and if possible in detail, if you manage to make it to witness and participate in the "ORAL ACADEMY!"

I missed the oral academy as I met someone I saw a few times. A 23-yr old named Cjad who hangs out in Action bar and is the most sought-after. Very muscular, huge dick, blue-eyed good-looker Hungarian with huge smile and big laugh. At first discussing rates he said 30 euros, top only, but then when I asked for extras (69) it got to 50 euros which is still fine. Evidently 50 is a fine rate for many of these guys. He texted me every day for repeats so it was plenty incentive. Even David Sweet who advertises on RentMen and PlanetRomeo only charges 120 euro for complete versatile sessions ( we couldn't connect after several tries). Evidently he bottoms on the Friday live sex show sometimes. The current week's sex partners's photos are on their website.

I also hung out at Habloro and Funny Carrot a couple evenings (short walk from Action). Not as threatening with tough Romanians as on weekends. They're aware of the problem and last summer hired a security guard to keep the crowds off the sidewalks out front- on weekends it's like running a gauntlet of pick-pockets getting in or out.

There is zero trade in any of the public parks or rail stations anymore.

My last 2 days I switched to a very luxurious hotel closer to the bars. Action Bar is behind the very nice Mercure Korona on Calvin Square, while the Ibis Centrum and several apartment suites are across Calvin Square from it. The National Museum is also there.

Action bar is hot. Oral Academy is unique. Some performers of shiws are really hot and they are all available as is bartender Tommy who normally is barechested with a tattoo of his wife on the chest. Nice smiling lad. Available. David sweet is really ... sweet. Always had nice time in Budapest. 80 is a rate widely accepted. known porn stars are asking for more ie 100 or 120 . Nice hotel nearby in addition to the ones mentionned above is the Eurostars.

I may have to revisit BUDAPEST. The last time I was there I had a harrowing experience with three Romanians, even though one was a white blond. I spent a sleepless Sunday night and was never so happy as when the plane back to Prague took off! This was 2001, after 911.

For the most part, the Hungarians didn't seem as attractive or as affluent as the Czechs and I recall dog poop all over the streets. It must have gotten far better.

I have been checking hotels in the city and would like recommendations on the best suburbs to stay in.

Also if there is any problems, in inviting escorts to ones room.I noticed there are many affordable short term apartments available too,this may be a better option . Thanks

Sorry to answer this so late. Budapest is huge, cabs are not always honest, and many hotels are unfriendly to companions. The first part of my stay was at the Radisson Blu Beke and I found it to be way too far from Action Bar and the numerous doormen and deskclerks would not have been receptive to a companion. I moved to the Marriott Executive Apartments just on the south side of the tourist area and close to Action Bar. I had no problems with bringing people in there. There's a Eurostars hotel next to Action Bar but I don't know what their visitor attitude is.

Budapest has a wonderful subway system but it closes fairly early.....11pm I think. Cabs were not cheap even when honest and a couple times I got really ripped off by them. Location matters in Budapest.

Went to Action bar Satuday, Jul 9th. Got there around 12, and there were around 20 guys. Didn't see any visible rent boys. Couple of guys hanging around near the dark room, and few others chatting at the bar. Pretty relaxed. Striping started around 1am. Pretty sensual and sexy with full hard on. The guy danced for like 10 minutes. Didn't see anyone tipping or touching the stripper. Thought maybe oral academy would be later. Then the stripper went to change room and left. Waited for 30 minutes and nothing is happening. So I went and checked with the bartender, and he said oral academy is Friday only now. What! I came here just for that! So think people may need to know this change. Left around 2am.  Judging by the crowd, maybe it doesn't make sense profit wise?

On their homepage they still show the live sex show on Fridays and Oral Academy on Saturdays but when you go to events they just say strip show and oral on both Friday and Sat. Shame. They used to show the 2 guys who would be performing sex on Fridays on their site. Seems to have gone down.

I was in Budapest last year and the gay scene generally isn't all that great. Pretty expensive as far as I can gather plus Hungary can be a bit conservative when it comes to homosexuality.

Although it is a great cultural hotspot, particularly the Parliament, and the Buda side of the city. Well worth a visit for that.

Are you telling me the two ancient Turkish baths where anything and everything went (with or without Romanian pro's) are no longer happening? They'd been going on since Communist days, when East Germans came to get their rocks off. I know Romanian guys get a lot of hate on this forum, but they can be fun for what they are, and one of the sweetest, handsomest guys I ever "made a business" with was a creamy-complexioned Romanian strolling down the bank of the Danube.

Its not a total then yes and now no. Its gradually, like so many places, slowly vanishing so more and more luck is needed to find something going on. Also due to extreme tourist popularity these bathes have been upgraded and became much more pricey, so the nr of locals going has reduced.

The current probably best site for uptodate listing of gay places etc seems to be travelgay.com, then click on for city etc. Check reviews if they are also not that old.

And yes, for every pro here is some con, nothing is perfect and nothing is always totally dependent. It seems there may also be a more warm welcome for those who know the local rules and customs.
