Popular Post paulsf Posted February 21, 2015 Popular Post Posted February 21, 2015 A bit back, there was a discussion about the price of Viagra in a different forum. I couldn't find it, so I thought I would use my new trip to Bankgok as a place to post some info. I saw a posting somewhere if you were looking for Viagra in a regular chain pharmacy, you would need doctors prescription, but if you went to a small neighborhood pharmacy you might find it without prescription. I asked my friend at one of the bars on Soi Twilight about this. There is a pharmacy just across the street. He said no problem. I go over and get it for customers all the time. Just give me $48.00 for 4. He was gone 2 minutes and I had a box of 4. Compared to the $42.00 each Walgreens wanted, glad I waited. Interesting sidelight, when boys see you buying it, they become very frisky...hummmm Backing up a bit, I left Ft. Lauderdale for Bangkok last Monday. With all the cold and snow in the east (60's in Fl.) time to head for the warmer climes of the massage palors of Bangkok. As I get older each trip seems to get longer. I'm here for a month, so that helps that I don't need to run out the door and cram everything into a week. This has been a fairly busy Chinese New Years week here. I decided to just hang at Hot Male bar for the last 4 nights with my friends. Lots of Chinese taking off boys, so I decided to wait till after the weekend before dipping my toes into the boy pool. And a large pool it is. It's the end of the high season, so still lots of boys in town and temperatures are starting to warm up. Low 90 days, 78 or so nights. Went to a couple of the shows. With the government trying to install morals, shows have been all over the place. Wearing jeans on stage, no nudity, no fun. Right now things are ok. Underwear on boys, nudity during shows, fuck shows and last night saw a cum show, which I hadn't seen in the past. Drinks expensive. $10.50 upstairs and about $6.00 at outdoor bars. Except Boys Bangkok. Big place, packed every show. 100 boys. Something for everyone. But drink prices $15.00 It's taken me a few days to unwind, but I'm thinking I should take the Viagra for a test drive this evening. I was at Hot Male bar a couple of nights ago when 2 boys came in and started drinking beers. One of the boys was so hot, I just sat and watched him all evening. As he and friend got a very heavy buzz going, he was just a happy happy mess. He saw me staring (a bit) and kept smiling at me. I'm just hating life as the cutest boy I've seen since I got here is a customer. They leave and I told my friend, customer was hot and wish I could meet up with him. My friend says, he works down the street at a bar, no problem meeting. Stopped by last night and he was still all smiles, and it will happen sometime next week. So for now, it's off to the grocery for some stocking up, my late afternoon nap, and then hopefully something more meaningful to report after a Saturday night on the town. TotallyOz Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Paul, Thanks for the report. Can't wait to hear more. Can I ask, you are now spending longer times there. Are you falling in love with BKK? paulsf Posted February 21, 2015 Author Posted February 21, 2015 It took me a year or so to realize I am retired and don't have to be home in 10 days to go back to work. After I got home from my first couple of trips after retirement, i found myself sitting in front of the TV or sitting by my pool, cleaning the condo or cooking dinner, then into bed at 10. Well I can do all that in Bangkok just as easily. The real plus side in Bangkok is at almost any hour I can run to the corner massage parlor or beer bar, and for $40 dollars have a bit of very hot, cute fun for a few hours. So to answer your question, yes, I am staying 30 days per trip now. It's such a long trip 30 days gives you time to recover before you leave. I'll be here till mid March, home till mid April and back to Bangkok April into May for another 30 days. I rent an apartment thru AIBNB. Been staying in the same place each trip. American size place with pool right outside my door. Close to everything. I love the pace of the city. As long as you stay off the roads during rush hour, taxis are cheap and easy. Just use sky train at rush hour. Getting older and figure have as much fun as I can till health says otherwise. flipao and lookin 2 Quote

paulsf Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Lurker. I've quoted US dollars in the above posting. Alcohol prices are close to American prices in the clubs. But prices are all over the place. I've seen the same drink run 6-15 U.S. depending on where your buying. But on average a bit cheaper than US? Axiom. I understand what you are saying. My special boy is 24. Could easily pass for 21. When we walk down the street he would hold my hand or sometimes put his hand around my waist for a bit. I would be like OMG , what are people going to think. It didn't take me long to realize that nobody was looking or cared. Life's getting shorter and I'm going to enjoy what time I have left. Finding boys in Bangkok is like the proverbial "easy as shooting a fish in a barrel. I tend to hang out on the Gay Street (Soi twilight) here virtually every person working on the street is available. Oz will tell you of shopping in the malls and the smile you can get from boys. If your good at making eye contact, you'll probably do ok. This is the land of smiles. Then there is Gayromeo. Just pages of boys. If your lonely for more than an hour in Bangkok, it's on you. My deepest sympathies to those of you back in the US experiencing all that snow and cold. A beautiful Sunday morning here. It's 85 poolside and headed for a sunny 95. I guess it would be unfair to say it's hot today. This is a great place for a winter vacation. AdamSmith, flipao and lookin 3 Quote

Interesting sidelight, when boys see you buying it, they become very frisky...hummmm Be careful of generic or medicines not obtained from an original manufacturer - See this video made by the makers of Viagra: http://www.viagra.com/buy-real-viagra/counterfeit-viagra-videos.aspx As you can determine from the video, fake Viagra is manufactured to look exactly like the real thing. Even the packaging looks real. Although it costs more to buy medicines from an original manufacturer, at least you know that the medicine is manufactured under inspected circumstances. P.S. - I did say the video was made by the makers of Viagra. Therefore, the video was obviously intended by the manufacturer to scare off people from buying generic. In reality, generics, of all types, are sold all over the world and we rarely hear anything negative about them. On the other hand, we often watch television and see advertisements from law firms looking for clients who have been harmed by using various other medications manufactured by licensed drug companies. What are we to do? Even buying from the original manufacturer can be an issue. Just a word to the wise. - Quote
Members MsGuy Posted February 22, 2015 Members Posted February 22, 2015 I'm told that the US drug distribution network is so convoluted that knock offs are regularly introduced into the supply chain, mixing seamlessly with the legit product. Your US pharmacy may well be selling you counterfeit pills w/o even knowing it. So you med up and hope for the stiffie you paid for. And, like the commercials say, if the fun lasts more than 4 hours, bop on down to the ER and get jabbed with deflater juice. Quote

It has been a long time since I was last in Bangkok. I love the massage places in Thailand where you will often find 50 or more boys available in the afternoon or evening. I like the gogo bars where you will find 100 guys on stage and then 10 other bars in walking distance with the same thing. I like the ease to use GayRomeo and other devices to find boys and the parks that are for cruising and I feel safe doing it. I just find the availability to pick up guys in Thailand much easier and the numbers are much greater than they are in Brazil. In Rio on a typical day, you may find 400 guys in all the saunas. In Bangkok, you will find 10x that amount in the gogo bars plus all the other places. Like the OP said, I also pick up from the malls boys that are commercial and non commercial. paulsf Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 You will have no problem finding quality. But better yet, lots less expensive than professional escorts that you will find on Gayromeo. We all have our likes and dislikes. Someone I think is extremely good looking may not work for you. But as stated above, the choices are overwhelming. I also feel like even though these boys work in the sex industry, there is still a feeling of innocence when you take a boy off. Not all, but they feel much less professional than escorts in other countries. I met a boy at a beer bar over the weekend. He sat with me, and fair amount of touching and whispering things in my ear. I went back last night and said do you want to come back to my apartment and practice all those fun things you said to me? After a few minutes of smiling at each other he said yes. We went back to my place and let's just say , after a couple of hours of fun, I slept better than the last 6 months. He wouldn't have been my first choice and if I was looking online, I wouldn't have picked him. But in the atmosphere you have here in Bangkok, it's easy to spend a lot of time with a boy and get to know him before you decide. His personality won me over. I wanted to fool around with him. I have 2 other boys I met over the weekend that I will be meeting up with this week. The hot boys are more in demand over the weekend, so I wait till the mid-week times to go after them. With respect to the advice not to fall in love, that is not a problem. If I have not fallen in love after my 122 trips to Brazil, it is unlikely I will fall in love in Bangkok. When I used the word "hint" I really meant to say recommendations. My main question is which hotel to choose. When I was in Bangkok a few times, years ago, I stayed at the Erawon, Montien, and I think the President. Those places may not be around anymore, considering that hotels get bought out by various chains and hotel names change so often. I will be much obliged for a recommendation for a decent hotel close to the fun areas. I also need a hotel that does not have an issue with visitors to a guest's room. After such a long absence from the city, I will not stay in Bangkok more than one week on my first return. Therefore, I prefer to stay in one of the larger chain hotels until I get to know the city again. Quote

I can relate to the fact that we all have different likes and dislikes. All we can do is try. With luck on our side, things generally work out favorably. You mentioned about an apartment and staying one month or so. If I like Bangkok, I will consider an apartment rather than a hotel. It all depends on my comfort level when I get there. Initially, I will use a hotel. I am more adventuresome than many of my friends who are content being a sit-at-home and hiring escorts from rentboy or sites like that. paulsf Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 I use to stay at The Tantawan. Priced under $100.00 a night. Very acceptable to guest. Great breakfast in the mornings. Easy walking distance to the gay bars and restaurants. They could use a coat of paint. Staff is amazing. A couple of years ago, I moved to the Courtyard by Marriott. A $1.00 cab ride to all the fun places. New, bright, great staff. I never had a problem having guest. Great breakfast buffet. I stop by now and then just for that. About 2 years ago, I wanted to stay a month. That's when hotels get pricey. I tried Airbnb. I feel I got lucky. I've stay in this apartment every trip since. Airbnb has a great choice in Bangkok. Hotel prices in Bangkok are some of the best in the world. Taxis cheap and plentiful, and sky train takes you to most places you would want to go. I live in Ft.Lauderdale and have been to Rio many times. (It's where I met TotallyOz for the first time). As you know, prices went thru the roof. I had never been to Thailand and figured this would be a good time to try it out. Been coming here for 6 years or so. I was working back then and trips were 1 week or so. Now I'm retired so time not an issue and usually stay 1 month at a time. The airfare from Miami to Bangkok is barely more than Miami to Rio. But once you get here, Bangkok is much cheaper. The long trip is probably the biggest drawback. Now all this talk about having fun in Bangkok, think I will head out for a massage before dinner. Then later this evening I am meeting up with a really cute boy I met this weekend. I may be getting older, but this keeps me feeling younger. flipao and mvan1 2 Quote

Members Popular Post firecat691614502759 Posted February 25, 2015 Members Popular Post Posted February 25, 2015 Let me chime in here. It has been awhile since I have been to Brazil but Thailand I have spent many months in over the last 10 years. For me the two places are completely different. Boys in Brazil are definitely bigger and more muscular . Amazing how many of them go home to wife and children. This is rare in Thailand. Brazil operates primarily with Saunas which I do not favor , probably why I spend most of my time in Thailand. No Comparison in expenses. Great Hotels available all over Thailand for 60% less or more then Brazil. Far better choice of international restaurants in Bangkok at a fraction of the cost of Brazil. Only thing comparable would be boys prices not so different. If you like 3 ways and orgies then Brazil is the place for you , much harder to make happen in Thailand. Brazil easier for a 1 week trip because of time in airplanes but fares not that much different if you have the ability to stay longer in Thailand. Unlike Brazil, it will be rare if you are questioned bringing a boy to your room in Bangkok or anywhere in Thailand. If you use internet boys much easier to find in Thailand. Thailand full of Bars with boys of all types and for the price of a drink you can take your time choosing for the evening. Planetime you paid way to much for Viagra . The Indian Generic or Thai Generic is identical for 400 baht (at the most) for 4 pills. Just like USA pharmacies will always give you generics if available , once the original loses its protection. flipao, AdamSmith, axiom2001 and 4 others 7 Quote
Popular Post TotallyOz Posted February 25, 2015 Popular Post Posted February 25, 2015 Firecat visits Thailand often and he has great luck with his dates from GayRomeo and other online sites. He just logs in and in 30 min or less, often has a boy at his hotel. I agree that Brazil is great for muscle but there are so many great muscle boys in Thailand as well. I love Hero Massage for that. There are other places to find this. Also, I agree that 3 ways are hard to get in Thailand as the boys are more shy. But, they are there and if you find the right lad, he will take you on a fun ride with 2 or 3 other sexy guys. I have had this happen tons there but it takes the right guy. In Brazil, I have rarely had an issue with any boy not wanting a 3 way. The hotels are no comparison as the ones in Thailand are cheaper and better quality. Never an issue with boys in your room. And, I hear all the time, "I don't like Asian guys." Well, I have take at least 5 of these people to Thailand and they fell in love with the country and the men there. In fact, 2 of the boys I took there from my days at Campus said that and both have Asian boyfriends now. There is so many great places in both Thailand and Brazil that I just never have a problem finding what I want in either place. Firecat does not like the sauna scene in Brazil. That prohibits a lot of his fun in Brazil. I don't like finding guys on GayRomeo but that does not prohibit me from finding great guys in Thailand as I can go to the massage places, the gogo bars, the discos or just the malls. Popular Post paulsf Posted February 26, 2015 Author Popular Post Posted February 26, 2015 I'm a bit like Firecat, I do love Brazil, but the saunas are not my favorite spot. But I manage. I do like being able to go into a bar or club here in Bangkok, and personally see and spend time with the boy that you like. In the saunas I feel more pressured to make a quick decision. In Bangkok, never pressured, except by the occasional mamasan. I know where all the heat the East Coast of the U.S. is. I think it is on vacation here in Thailand. It's been mid 90's with lots of sun. So I've been going out shopping and doing errands in the morning , then hanging around the pool or in the apartment afternoons waiting for the sun to set for dinner and evening fun. When the boys complain about the heat, then I know it's kicking in and they started complaining the last couple of days. Been hanging out at Hot Male most of my evenings. Have several friends that work here. I had a little situation develop over the last several days where the more I hang there, the closer some of them get to you. The last couple of nights, some of the boys have started asking me to buy them a drink. They are polite about it. It's very hard to convince these boys that not all Americans are rich. I buy a couple of boys a drink every night and try to spread it around. Last night one of the newer boys got a beer and slipped the payment slip into my bin. (they write a receipt for drinks and put it in a box next you at your seat and add them up when you leave for payment) I noticed , but so did his boss. Boss went off on the kid and was going to fire him. I did ask him to have him appoligize to me, but don't fire him. He agreed but did suspend him for 10 days. I am very good friends with the manager so we talked about it for a few minutes. He told me that they rarely have to fire anyone, but it does happen. He said he reprimands him in front of everybody as its a lesson of what can happen. I still feel bad, but it is stealing from a customer, and would be grounds for firing for most jobs. On a lighter note. I finally met up with a boy I have been after since the day I got here. Well worth the wait. This boy is Lao. I have been meeting up with mostly Vietnamese boys, but most are still in Vietnam for New Years. I didn't know what to expect. We have had a few drinks together, but he speaks about 10 words of English and I speak no Lao or Thai. But this boy is as cute as they come. All smiles and I do fall for that. So took him home without discussion of what we would get into. One thing I like about Thailand, the boys take shoes and sox off at the door, so when you get to the bedroom you don't have to go thru that when undressing them. I like to shower with boys. Thai boys don't, they like to start off alone, so didn't know where this boy stood. Ask, can we shower together? He was out of his clothes before I could undo one of my shirt buttons. Then undressed me, grabbed my hand and we headed to shower. Needless to say, as with my 2 favorite Viets, this boy was just as much an exhibitionist. Lucky me..I couldn't have begun to expect how much fun I would have with him, and will see him several more times. I like boys that aren't shy. I am now convinced that for the most part Thais are and most of the rest of the SE Asians aren't. (By my small scientific survey for the past year.) Tonight is a night off. I'm going to an Italian restaurant around the corner for a pizza and beer. Then spending the evening watching tv or reading a book. After a week of rice and vegetables, need something a bit different. Tomorrow will be grocery shopping and lunch at Siam Paragon. Then it's Friday night . Will it be, Thai, Lao, or Vietnamese. The decisions we have to make. (But leaning Lao) MsGuy, mvan1, lookin and 2 others 5 Quote

If you do not mind, I have a question (asked further in this post). As I previously wrote, I have not been to Bangkok for many years. When I was there, there were countless Thai guys that I found interesting. To my knowledge, I never saw any Vietnamese while in Bangkok. Unrelated to my trips to Bangkok, I also spent a fair amount of time in Saigon, (now - Ho Chi Minh City) Vietnam. In my observations, the Vietnamese guys did not look anything like the Thai guys. The body and facial features were as different as night and day between the two nationalities. On some rare occasions, I found some Vietnamese that were mixed with the French, as a result of the Indochina War. That combination made an interesting looking guy. Finally, my question - Am I correct in assuming from reading your post that Bangkok, the bar Hot Male and the street that you find enjoyable, are frequented by a lot of Vietnamese and guys from Laos? If so, what do you think is a reasonable guess for the ratio of the mix - )Thai versus Vietnamese)? I ask the question out of curiosity. I know that after the Vietnam was ended, many Vietnamese left Vietnam and immigrated to many other countries. In the U.S, the largest Vietnamese population, outside of Vietnam, is located in Orange County, California. This all happened after the Vietnam war ended. Quote
paulsf Posted February 27, 2015 Author Posted February 27, 2015 My bf is Vietnamese so I have an inside to most of the Viet boys. There are about 50 that work in Soi Twilight clubs and bars. They all know each other. I would say about the same for Cambodian and Lao, though I'm not sure. This out of maybe 500 or more guys that work on any given night. So still very much a Thai majority. There is a difference in look from Thai and Vietnamese. I thought the Lao boy I have been hanging out with this week was Vietnamese, but he very proudly stated no, Lao. Most of the Viet, Lao, and Cambodian boys speak Thai, but can't read it. Pictured menus are great when you take them out to eat. Just about all the Viet boys have been back in Vietnam for Tet. They are due to start arriving back to Bangkok this weekend. My friend will be back next weekend. They all spent 2 or 3 weeks with family. There have been a lot of Chinese tourist around , but for me, surprised at how many Japanese tourist in town. Big bus loads. Chinese appear to drink more and off boys more than Japanese. I'm just getting ready to head out to dinner with my Lao friend. It's interesting that lack of each other's language makes conversation difficult, but the boys do appreciate going out to a restaurant . A change from nothing but street food. The hot season is kicking in. It's 6:30, sun just setting and still about 92. As soon as sun is gone, time to head out. lookin, MsGuy, mvan1 and 1 other 4 Quote
