Recently, my specialist wrote me a perscription for Generic Revatio (called Sildenafil) which can ge had for under $1.00 per pill, IF you can find a reliable source... My doc suggested a "mom & pop" pharmacy, but even those I have gone too deter you from purchasing and steer you to the Brand viagra... Does anyone here have any experience with Sildenafil, and do you have a reliable source. ? I have found several sources searching the web, but am suspicious of most. It can lower your blood pressure and there are many, many rogue operators out there pushing this type of drug which can be very dangerous to you if not formulated properly. If your mainstream pharmacies cannot fill the generic form of Viagra then I personally would consider other options. Teva Canada launched Novo-Sildenafil, a generic version of Viagra, but with all these recreational type drugs, especially from other countries, there is a chain of custody concern I would have for their ingredients in totality. I found one online source that requires a prescription (which I have) with order. At least thats a positive reinforcement.... We'll see. Quote

He made a comment that the cost has gone up a bit this year. I got 10 for $225. a year ago. This time they wanted $350. for 8 . My insurance doesn't cover it either. So I politely declined. He had the Sildenafil 20mg I was seeking, and he charged me $100 for 90 pills. While I normally would take 1 50mg Viagra, now I would probably have to take 2-3 generics, but consider it would then cost $3 per boner instead of $40, I am quite happy... Results: Walmart $57.34, Walgreens $143.50, CVS $263.32 & Rite-Aide $766.03. Seeing as the folks at Walmart are not much inclined to run their shops at a loss, one can only conclude that the wholesale price per pill and thus the manufacturing cost is likely even lower than Sucrates's tongue in cheek estimate of 25 cents. I never would have thought to do this w/o your nudging (I didn't even know the generic name of Viagra nor did I know it was off patent). It's unusual to be able to get cash prices for pharmaceuticals online from my experience. I just tried it with a Rx I take at night from CVS and it's not even close to what I pay in the store. I personally have always found Walgreen to be the Mr. Potter of drug stores when it comes to Rx cost. Quote

I didn't bother to write down the name of the site as I had all the info I needed and I don't even remember the magic google terms I used to get to it. The odd thing is that although these outlets list the medication online, at the store, they will say they dont have it and cant get it, and will steer you toward Revatio, which is the Brand for Sildenafil, and $37 a pill. He said prices started going up a couple dollars a month starting last year. I'm interested in 100 mg . He said they are running between $40 & $45 each now. He said to go online and buy it from Canada where it is still around $20 ea. He blamed the price increases on drugs on Obamacare. I'm headed to Bangkok next week and did some googling and it appears to be around $15 there. So I'm going to wait till I get out of the country. lookin and MsGuy 2 Quote

Apparently the site has some kind of referral/kickback arrangement with pharmacies and that's how they make their money. The small print does say that the prices are not guaranteed, lol.
