TotallyOz Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Thank you to everyone I met and spent time with over the past many months. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I had a great time every day and I do envy those that are able to afford to stay there year round and have the party day and night. I learned many things on this trip and tried many things I had never experienced. Still, the BF and I are going strong and I don't expect that to change any time in the near future. He is the main reason for my return to Pattaya each year. If not for him, I think Chiang Mai is more suited for me and I love the climate and the atmosphere there. When in Pattaya I often get sucked into the vacuum of go go go go go do do do do and little relaxation. I am back in the states for a bit and then to my beloved in Brazil. He is working hard for a trip to Thailand to meet the other BF and I have put it off as long as I can and I hope he doesn't use his persuasive techniques to get me to spring for a trip. Right now, I am relaxing in my new home town and just got back from eating dinner with some friends from years gone by. For those of you in LOS, have a blast and enjoy each day and for those of you with impending trips, don't forget to savor each moment. It passes by so quickly. Quote

Such modesty GT. Judging by your exploits, I think you can afford Thailand more than most of the year round expats. 55555 Quote
Guest Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 If you had to choose between Thailand and Brazil which would it be and why? If it were not for safety issues, I would choose Brazil hands down. I love it there as well and the guys are much more to my liking. But, Brazil is not the safest place around and perhaps one day it will be and I'll settle down there year round. Thailand has the allure for me mainly because of the boyfriend. If he is not in the picture, I will still visit often but it would be more like a few weeks at a time a couple of times a year and not extended stays. I'm glad you had a wonderful time here. I hope we'll see you again very soon. Thank you. I hope to be back before high season or shortly thereafter. Such modesty GT. Judging by your exploits, I think you can afford Thailand more than most of the year round expats. 55555 My exploits have slowed down over the years just as the American dollar has weakened. It has effected me just as much as most and the cost of the trips now are MUCH more for me than they were a few years back and the exploits have also decreased in numbers. Quote
Guest slackersam Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 What? You can't get thai boys wholesale? Quote
Guest Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 What? You can't get thai boys wholesale? I think the rates that most guys are paying for the past many years are the same but the cost of almost everything has risen. I have never been able to pay the minimum that some do but even if the average is paid, it makes it hard for many guys to make ends meet. I do think the price for a short time should go up. Working boys in NYC did this and most won't go for less than a certain amount. You will find some on Craig's List that will but the 20 percent chance you will have a good time is often not worth the gamble. Quote
