Guest stef Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Has anyone tried this place before ? I just wanted to get a drink with a friend of mine , and being his first time in Thailand, I wanted to make sure we do all the Gay area of Pattaya before we hit the road to Bangkok tomorrow... Well here we are in Jomtien complex and at first when i saw Rock hard boys, I wasn't sure what they offers as services....if it was a host bar or simply a Go Go place, but the boys on the outside were very very friendly.... so we decided to give it a try. Well it just didn't take 2 minutes before I had 3 boys all over me .... while some other were on my friend.... Anyway I won't go into details but I will just say " What happens in Rock Hard Boys , stays in Rock Hard Boys ".... I was nicely surprised and in many years in Thailand, this is the first time I had the guys really worked hard to please the customers... I usually see half of the dancers unhappy to be on stage, and some other , just doing nothing ... Only few will work the customers... Here , a very small place but all the boys made sure you were the center of attention... We were few falang and we were all taking care of.... You should give it a try... Stef Quote
Guest piston Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 As I'm 6,000 miles away, I haven't popped in to Rock Hard Boys since May, but it's great to hear from Steph that it hasn't changed - one of my favourite places in Pattaya (with Happy Boys, off Sunee). Of course, the guys know how to part you from a few baht, but they slip into party mode at the drop of a hat. One night I bought a bottle of whisky, but offering them all an individual drink on another night (they all chose a soft drink) seemed to be more popular - almost certainly because they all got a little ticket to claim a commission later on. Once they get to know you, it becomes difficult to walk past the place. Word goes out and they pour on to the pavement, waving, blowing kisses, calling your name... and hoping! OK, we know what it's all about, but, yes, they DO make an effort. Steph draws a bit of a veil over the details, understandably, but I bet he found them not only cheerful, friendly, personable and lively, but very naughty! Lovely combination!! I offed a number them and was never disappointed. Perhaps not everybody's cup of tea; some people might be embarrassed. However, when I think of my last trip, memories of Rock Hard Boys (and they seem to like the name to apply to both themselves and the customers!), usually quite late in the evening, are foremost in my mind. Guest laurence Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I had quite a different experience at Rock Hard about a month ago. Most of the boys appeared to be lady boys and did not make any effort, at all, to engage us farangs. But they sure were lively on stage, never stopped moving!! On the other hand, about a year ago the place was quiet but the boys were quite active and were all over us. I suppose it depends on the day you arrive there. Quote

Guest piston Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Thanks, laurence, for your comment on your recent visit to RHB. It's a commonplace, isn't it, that the atmosphere in a bar can change from night to night - and maybe this is the explanation. Still, I am a little puzzled. You say the boys were dancing very actively, so they were obviously trying. Might it be that there was something lacking, what we sometimes, in a one-to-one relationship, rather vaguely describe as "chemistry". I have often thought that this is very important in a small bar like RHB. You don't say how many farang were present, but from your own admission we know that there was one whose reaction was "God, they're too fem!" Could it have been that by expression, eye movement or body language you conveyed to them what you were really feeling? If so, I'm afraid I think it's only natural that the party never got started! NOT an accusation, just a thought, because what happens in a gogo bar is very much a two-way affair. BTW, apologies to Stef for 'Steph'! Quote

There were 5 farang including an Indian man and and Indian lady. The lady had a boy playing with her tits and the man was obviously bored. A very strange scene. Oh, the boys on stage were quite lady like; to be kind I did not mention that they seemed to be "high" on something that kept them a movin and a dancin. I don't think it was an energy drink. The one boy boy was sitting with another farang. It was just one of those nights when things did not click. But you are right, perhaps the combined chemistry of myself and my farang friend turned them off. I don't doubt that. Quote

Lovely combination!! That's exactly my opinion. I just didn't want to get into details... and still prefer to keep quiet about it lol.. But I am rarely shocked ... and that night I was just in for some surprises.... I enjoyed my time there , that's a fact. The boys were extremly friendly. There were few ladyboys but other than that ... they were just all cute boys bouncing back and forth making sure everyone was enterained... The night I was there, there were that guy that were dancing like I have never seen before.. Just couldn't stop jumping , dancing and welll.... But at first the scene was very strange to me as It was something I wasn't expecting period. 2 other farang were doing " things " I wish I hadn't seen as it was such a turn off... But all was great.. and the chemistry was just perfect between the guys and me.... Quote
