It's a well-known problem with iPhone photos, especially when sent over email. One "trick" people use is to first turn the phone sideways and upside down before taking the shot so that the volume buttons are on the bottom left left of the phone. Quote
Guest Driver Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Sunday was 117 day for me but first The beach was rammed, loads people and really busy. The hippy Market was just as I remembered it, worth a trip if you've never been before but if you have been once before probably you could leave it. 117 was okay not really busy but not exactly quiet many of the boys I'd seen before and had avoided. I am starting to learn not to go for the best looking boys but to try to get one a little bit less good-looking then everyone else. I chose a guy called William who was slightly acnead in one cheek that was good-looking wasn't buff but wasn't too out of shape. He wasn't rushed and kissed really well. Unfortunately when it came to me asking him to cum he wanted a little more but we had agreed the price beforehand. When he realised I wasn't happy he quickly agreed price agreed beforehand. We showered together and he was very friendly, and I offered him something to drink and something to eat at the bar. He turned up an hour later but was adamant that I had been his only client. I have agreed to meet him again on Tuesday and we will find him someone passive for him to fuck. I think I may take him back to the apartment afterwards. Now the gross bit, after we came back down from the room, I realised I had something stuck in my hair. It was chewing gum, I had to discreetly ask the chef for some cooking oil so that I could rub it into my hair to get rid of the chewing gum, thank fuck it worked. Neither I nor William Chew gum. Oddly, An American also suggested I go to point 202 on Wednesday apparently is the night to go there because they have introduced free cabins. Sorry to bring this up, but I don't think its cool to snap pictures of the "common" areas. One thing is ask the boy to pose for some pictures where he knows that you are taking them. Other is sneaking taking pictures of people who dont know nor want to be photographed. The saunas in Brazil always were a place where gay guys would enjoy a good time and enjoy some privacy... even in the smartphone era it (more or less) stayed that way. If guys perceive a bigger threat of exposure in the saunas less will come... and less clients mean less boys. PS. All the saunas have a "No Pictures" rule. Quote

I write "smiled" because this place has been a 'NO, NO" for me ever since 2011, for it "aint" what it was during its beginning in the early 2000s. I first ventured there in 2003 in October of 2002 and during Carnaval in 2003, an evening that I'll always remember, not so much so for me although I had a swell time with a guy, but for my friend who I had just introduced to Point 202! He met a hot guy from Bahia, and the two of them were almost together in the cabin for over an hour. After I'd had my fun, I had to hunt for him before he reappeared out front! I then and I now!!! Guest Driver Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I hadn't appreciated it was a holiday weekend, the locals celebrating Independence Day. MM was very quiet to start off with, eventually it did get really busy at one point the boys outnumbered clients two to one. Many of the clients seem to go there to socialise with each other rather than to go with any one boy. I took Jonathan upstairs, his pictures are in Ihpguy's sex hotel thread and he was very good. When chatting to ihpguy, it became clear we had both been with William at 117 who was a whitish guy from the Salvador area. Quote

I have my eye on a cute fitty, but he is hanging around the stairwell at the moment which sort of puts me off. I did say I would go against my judgement and see if a cute guy could be good and he may be the one I try. No sign of William who was going to be here today but I learned ages ago to take what a brasilian says with a pinch of salt when it comes to attending anywhere at any time. Quote

My key is 13, not that I'm superstitious (touch wood). First impressions are mixed, the bar has moved as has the stage. Steel chairs have been swapped for little sofas. The towels came in a laundered bag but no shoe boy, if you don't bring your own you will take your chances in the community box. They do have wifi though. Quote

The bar staff didn't always notice you waiting and when you flushed the upstairs toilets, water came out from the flush button. The place needed a little attention. They have an upper roof bar where they can retract the roof and apparently they have bar-b-ques there. The downstairs toilets looked new although no spray hoses downstairs if you are btm. It was busier than last Wednesday when I saw both 117 and MM but it was only one week out of two so don't hate me if your experience is different. They had an act on and the same two strippers I have seen at least three times in rio. Photos of the stage area, a room and the outside. Quote

Mezzaninu sauna is bright, they have showers in the bar area. I got here at 18:50 It took ten minutes to flag a taxi and the traffic was horrendous Quote

I am at the Mercure Manhattan and I am pleased with my room. I walked around the nearby park with my umbrella and I get the impression of an area doing alright. I struggled to find somewhere to get breakfast so I went to the shopping centre next to the Sheraton hotel and had a chicken salad from one of the places on their food floor. It was a chicken club bowl of salad for R$18.40 As others have said, you would struggle to find enough to do here for more than a few days which is a shame as some of the local guys are gorgeous.
