TotallyOz Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I have been reading this guy's column for a while on the New York Times. Ihpguy got me interested in him when he sent me a link to an article he had written on Brazil. The guy writes well but also gives some great advice and pointers. Today's article was his 7 step plan to booking cheap hotel rooms. It was a great read IMHO. Take a look: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/10/travel/7-steps-to-a-cheaper-hotel-room.html?action=click&contentCollection=Opinion&module=MostEmailed&version=Full®ion=Marginalia&src=me&pgtype=article lookin, ihpguy, AdamSmith and 1 other 4 Quote
paulsf Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Paris hotel rooms are small. I can't imagine how small budget hotel rooms must be. With the luggage you carry, you would need 2 rooms, one for you and one for luggage. TotallyOz 1 Quote
TotallyOz Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 True, but for the right price, I might be able to learn to travel light. At least that is the thought. Quote
Members RA1 Posted August 7, 2014 Members Posted August 7, 2014 That is why we have FEDEX. Don't drag bag it, ship it ahead or leave it behind until you need it. Many places will accept your package if they know you are coming. No innuendo intended. Then you can pick it up as needed or if needed or even send it on intact to the next destination. It isn't free, of course, but, what is? Best regards, RA1 Quote
