Guest lvdkeyes Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I see now that MAMMA MIA is playing at MajorCinaplex in Pattaya. Quote
Guest Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Even though I saw this in Bangkok, I'll go here and see it again with the BF. I want him to see it as well. I really did enjoy it. I have the VCD of it but not sure what kind of quality it is. Quote
Gaybutton Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I have the VCD of it but not sure what kind of quality it is. I know how you can find out. Play the VCD. The pirated, low quality versions are already out among the vendors. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I saw the stage version of Mama Mia several times and adored it. I felt one reason for it being so hugely enjoyable was the focus was firmly on the music and not on any star or stars. I somehow cannot imagine how it translates well onto the big screen with well-known stars - some of whom the reviews say cannot really sing. How does it really compare? Quote

I saw the Broadway show about 10 times and took family and friends to see it with me. We all loved it. I was not expecting much from the movie but it really was a delight. The star power only added to it in my mind. It was very enjoyable. Quote
Guest fountainhall Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Thanks GT. I'll certainly try and see it this week. Quote
Guest slackersam Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Mininova has several decent quality versions for download. Quote
Guest lvdkeyes Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I have downloaded it from Torrent and the quality is good, not excellent, but good. I went to see it again here in Pattaya and there were more people in the theater than in BKK and hearing the Thais reaction added to the enjoyment. Quote
