I see now that MAMMA MIA is playing at MajorCinaplex in Pattaya.

Even though I saw this in Bangkok, I'll go here and see it again with the BF. I want him to see it as well. I really did enjoy it. I have the VCD of it but not sure what kind of quality it is.

I saw the stage version of Mama Mia several times and adored it. I felt one reason for it being so hugely enjoyable was the focus was firmly on the music and not on any star or stars. I somehow cannot imagine how it translates well onto the big screen with well-known stars - some of whom the reviews say cannot really sing. How does it really compare?

I saw the Broadway show about 10 times and took family and friends to see it with me. We all loved it. I was not expecting much from the movie but it really was a delight. The star power only added to it in my mind. It was very enjoyable.

Mininova has several decent quality versions for download.

I have downloaded it from Torrent and the quality is good, not excellent, but good.

 

I went to see it again here in Pattaya and there were more people in the theater than in BKK and hearing the Thais reaction added to the enjoyment.
