A few years ago I actually had a reservation agent (employee of the hotel) suggest that I could postpone my reservation and then cancel if necessary when I suddenly was unable to honor the original reservation at the last minute. Obviously that got my attention as good service and I remember it years later. It was Cedar Point for those curious.
