But public defecation is not left to humans alone. For centuries, animals have done it. In Paris alone, dogs leave more poop on the street than people do! Public toilets? Civic leaders fight them as they become venues for clandestine activity. Should you open your home to someone who needs to defecate? Doesn't that depend?
