For quite some time, I've been staying off both boards. Mostly because I've been busy with college and everything. However I now really wonder why I have logins on either website at all.

I guess my foray into the dark world of male escorts was interesting but as I've said before, I'm too much of a nice guy to really deal with the stuff that goes on behind the back doors. Besides which, I don't really have a job and I'm gonna have to fight like heck to get another one eventually anyway.

Anyway the bottom line is that I really don't feel like I fit in so I was wondering what's the point of keeping a login id. The escorts that I had a pleasure to meet were interesting but I'm not sure any of them truly got me. I'm not sure that anybody here gets me either. I have a very unique sense of humor and there are not a lot of people that want that type of snarkiness. Although it will be quite valuable at my upcoming college Improv show that I'll be in

here's what I've always thought. These boards are for recreation. If you have fun and enjoy coming here, you should. If you don't, find something better to do. It's that simple in my mind. The "other" board was not fun for me several years ago for a variety of reasons, so I simply stopped going. Problem solved. So many hard things to deal with in life... I try not to make the simple things hard as well.

But Marcanthony is right: the boards are for fun. If you don't find anything of interest here, there's no real reason to come.

PS. For me at least, escorting has little to do with why I log on.Those days are long behind me now. There are other reasons to post here but if if you don't find any that are applicable to you, then I wish you well on your journey.

GC, I really dont think its the escorts GOAL to "get you"...... Its more likely their goal is to "get your money", and it seems they were successful at that.... We should all be Happy and comfortable in the life choices we make, and if we are not, we SHOULD move on.

I gave up worrying about being "different' so many years ago, I don't even remember when. Had I continued with this "worry" I would have gone stark raving mad. Wait, too late.

While it is true the various posters/lurkers on this board definitely have some common interests, many, if not most, have bunches of interests not in common. Most people travel to get somewhere, I go for the journey.

Therefore, as said before in several different ways, if you are enjoying the ride, don't get off the horse.

Like other respondents, I am going to assume that this was a genuine question and not just an attempt to get us to say that we love you, please don't leave. People who interact on a board like this do so for various reasons: they want information; they want to socialize with others who share some of their interests; they want to show off or act out; they want stroking. If their needs are not met, they usually leave. People who post regularly often have all these motivations, though not at the same time. I have detected all of these motivations in your posts on both sites, and I don't condemn any of them. But you are suggesting that some of them are not being satisfied here, and you are wondering whether that means you should formally end your connection to the site. I would suggest instead that you do what you have been doing, which is to simply not participate when you don't feel the need or desire to do so. You may very well decide at some time in the future that this site might meet one of those needs, and then there is the awkward complication of explaining why you are reintroducing yourself. So instead of "Farewell," why not just say "See ya later?"

I don't have much to add as many good points have been raised. The only other thing I would say is that sometimes it is just necessary to adjust one's expectations (both for yourself and for others who participate). Sometimes that isn't possible or doing so makes the experience less than satisfying, however still worth considering.

I have found the board to be such a wide variety of people that often agree with me and often disagree with me. It helps me in many ways to evaluate my own opinions on a wide variety of subjects. I also enjoy the fact that I can talk about sex and escorts so openly without judgement. That is truly unique and not something found on many boards.

I also have met some amazing people off of this site and Hoo's old site. Friendships that have lasted over a decade in some cases. So, to me, it is truly worth it.

As an admin, I have a vested interest in trying to keep the peace when fights break out and to try to take the middle ground. But, I have said so many times to posters over the years that they can't take any board so seriously that they get their feelings hurt. I see it all too often. Too often people in your own life won't tell you what they think for fear of hurting your feelings. On a private message board, people tend to call bullshit quicker than in person.

While this board stays civil and a gentleman's forum, it is not for someone who can't hold their own in a conversation. We loose many this way. I can't tell you how many times I have been told, "either this poster goes or I go." It is not once or twice but multiple times each year. In each instance, I tell everyone that we don't ban people just because they are not liked or they have conflicts with others. Part of life is learning to get through those tuff times.

I have always found you intelligent and funny and I hope you stay. But, don't stay for me. Stay because the site might benefit you in some way in the present or the future.
