Snow and ice

I am sorry for the discomfort and discombobulation (as well as injuries and death) being caused by the current global warming aka snow and ice storms. However, several folks of my acquaintance from "snow country" both Yankees and plain old northerners have made fun of the terrific traffic mess recently in ATL. I immediately replied that no one can drive on ice and that I have personally observed many folks "up north" who cannot drive on snow either.

Today, sorrowfully, I cite various massive pile ups in such as PA, a state that qualifies on all heretofore mentioned descriptions, being Yankees, northerners and in snow country. There are plenty of other untoward examples of unsuccessful encounters with snow and ice.

Years ago, here in the South, folks stayed home when it (rarely) snowed. Now they are learning that good example all over again. Let's see how long it takes those "up north" to learn. ^_^

Best regards,

RA1

 The mayor of New York is pounding his hairy chest and allowing as how the Big Apple don't stop for no stinking snow!

I loved his reasoning behind keeping the schools open: "Lots of parents have to work and need somewhere to stash their kids." The TV shots of NYC school buses inching along in near blizzard conditions were priceless.

The mayor of NY is a whole diff topic, but as for the weather here (I live smack dab in the middle of NYC) its been tryin, and tiring, but bearable. We are used to shit snow storms. I cant imagine how the people in the south are dealing when they have no clue or experience. I stay indoors and watch my porn ..... The only problem I find with the bad weather is that you just cant look "cute"......too many ugly clothes and too covered up !

 Not to mention no snow plows and no road salt.

Here-a-bouts we just close the schools, throw some sand (that we got!) on the bridges and wait it out. Normally it melts on its own in a day or so.

Peeing on the snow also helps melt it. I learned that from your boy Justin B.
