Members RA1 Posted February 10, 2014 Members Posted February 10, 2014 I am not so much for legalizing various drugs as I am getting government out of our private lives. Best regards, RA1 Quote
AdamSmith Posted February 11, 2014 Author Posted February 11, 2014 Would your desired outcome then be that psychoactive substances (marijuana, alcohol, others) should be neither prohibited nor controlled by government in any other way -- not taxed, and not regulated in their use, such as prohibitions on operating transportation or machinery while under their influence? How absolutely should government remove itself here? Quote
Members RA1 Posted February 11, 2014 Members Posted February 11, 2014 What you suggest is no longer ONLY one's private life. A bus driver who is DUI is a danger not only to himself but to others. I am not suggesting that there are no penalties for using drugs. Someone who cannot control himself may not be employable in any capacity. I realize there are a lot of possible mutations and variations. But, remember, I know porn when I see it. Best regards, RA1 Quote
