TotallyOz Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 The Flamingo, one of the stable businesses in Pattaya has closed for good. They paid their staff a few months salary and closed the doors. Anyone looking for a 30 room hotel that has room for expansion? I think the asking price was in the high 30 million baht range. Quote
Guest JoeM Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I think the asking price was in the high 30 million baht range. Why does this sound like an excellent way for the average falang to take a small fortune and make it smaller? Not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced. Quote
Guest luvthai Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Another sad loss to the Day Night area. Flamingo was a nice place run by nice people. Another loss by current political situation in pattaya? I think we will see many more closings due to the many raids and driving tourist away. There seems to be a real push away from industrial/tourist driven economy back to an agricultural base (I believe there was a posting in thaivisa recently regarding this). Quote
