Is American Hustle good? Maybe I will try to see it. I love that Meryl Streep got another nomination! Congrats..

Meryl Streep is fantastic in "August: Osage County". The supporting cast is amazing as well. In a small role, American Indian actress, Missy Upham, is wonderful; exhibiting quiet strength.

I did not like American Hustle. I thought it was a mess in terms of direction.

I've seen 8 of the 9 movies nominated for Best Picture. I really have no desire to see "The Wolf of Wall Street". I think Leonardo DiCaprio is over rated and this movie looks awful.

Saw it last week. Although it's a three hour movie, it's very fast paced and seemed like only two hours and forty-five minutes.

Lookin's mysterious post makes me wonder whether I should skip it or not.. I loved DiCaprio in Titanic.. I wish I had been Kate Winslet at the bow of Titanic with DiCaprio holding me .. It's my favorite scene.. Not so sure whether I could reenact that scene on a cruise ship without getting caught by security officers.. ^_^

I detested Titanic. I kept on waiting for the damned boat to sink so I could get the hell out of there. There is something about Leo that I find distrubing. However, I did like his acting shtick tics in Gilbert Grape. Blood Diamond, wavering accent. The Avaitor? Anyone really feel any kind of connection with Cate/Kate?

And I suppose the biggest surprise of the year will be if Cate doesn't get it for Blue Jasmine. Fantastic, yet quite disturbing. But that was the point.

I saw "HER" today. It's a quirky movie that's for sure. But I see why the Academy recognized it. It's a very different movie on what the future may look like.

I just saw it as well and was really impressed. Granted I haven't seen several of the others nominees yet, but this one, especially for anybody who's lived in LA is really something.

It's the best LA can or ever will look, absolutely gorgeous.

I've always been indifferent on Joaquin Phoenix but he did a great job here. As did Scarlett Johansson. Olivia Wilde was the only slightly off note for me, didn't quite fit but not a big part.

But the ideas behind it also really did something for me. Every other time I've heard/read anything to do with 'The Singularity' my eyes glaze over. But this, for the first time, I could really see. And the slightest hints at what was going on as the OSes develop was pretty deep Sci-Fi without spelling it out and losing half the audience was very well done, I felt.

I highly recommend Her.

I really enjoy seeing movies. But I just can't get my head around the previews I saw of HER. Phoenix just seems so pathetic as does the theme.

I've been watching all of the movies nominated for Best Picture for the Academy Awards. And I'm currently watching the last one on my list "The Wolf of Wall Street". It is so awful, I can't believe the Academy gave it so many nominations. And Leonardo DiCaprio is so over rated. I just don't get it.

I saw "August: Osage County" yesterday and thought the acting to be superb. Ms. Streep and Ms. Roberts both did a phenomenal job! I'm now torn as to whom should receive both the Best Actress as the Best Supporting Actress this year! [2.1.14]

Dunt nose nutin about birthin babees mz scarlett and fo shu asz noz nuttin bowt slaves massah, but Cate don gum win in two weeks.

Please don't flame me. Trying to be a bit funny and reference Miss Butterfly McQueen and my feelings that 12 Years A Slave probably will win for Best Film.

But anyone who thinks that the Oscar will go to anyone but Lady Cate is sorely mistaken. The manner in which she reveals some of the internal emotions of her character is incredible. Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren, let alone Sandra Bullock need to speed on down to Aussieland for some acting refresher courses. The three of them phoned it in for Iron Lady, The Queen and The Blind Side in comparison.
