Guest tomcal Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I don't know if OZ put some secret code in the log in space but I can't sign out or off from here! :-) First time that's ever happened, but in case someone is wondering what I am doing here 24/7...that's why! Quote
Members RA1 Posted January 4, 2014 Members Posted January 4, 2014 Isn't everyone here 24/7? On my laptop I have the same problem but not on my desktop. Both are Windows7 but the laptop is a much later version. Who knows? Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members lookin Posted January 4, 2014 Members Posted January 4, 2014 Same here, and I've tried the cookie clearing routine. What's weird is that, even though some pages show me logged in, the main Forums page doesn't. Unless I really am. This seems to be one of those devilish login problems that often besets the site and I'm sure OZ will eventually move it to the front burner. Quote
TotallyOz Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I thought this had been fixed. I have alerted the programmers with this message: Hello fuckers! You fucked up with the fucking log in / log out. I'll fuck you up if you don't fix this first thing Monday Morning! (jk. I did message them but I was trying to compete with the new Leo movie and all the F words in it. lookin 1 Quote

Members MsGuy Posted January 5, 2014 Members Posted January 5, 2014 Jeez. One little thing goes wrong and there's always somebody rushing out to demand an exorcism. Why not try a little exemplary discipline on the programmers first? AdamSmith 1 Quote
AdamSmith Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 A compromise? Exorcise the programmers, using an enema of boiling Holy Water, as in Ken Russell's The Devils. Quote
Members MsGuy Posted January 5, 2014 Members Posted January 5, 2014 A boiling water enema? I'd have to ask for a 2nd opinion first. ==== I recall the Persians used to do something similar in way back times. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a medical treatment though. AdamSmith 1 Quote
TotallyOz Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 The programmers have been working on this. Can you all please test this after you log out and close your browser and see if you are still having issues? So sorry and thanks. Quote
Members RA1 Posted January 7, 2014 Members Posted January 7, 2014 It really isn't that much of an issue, is it? Sorry that I brought it up. Best regards, RA1 JKane 1 Quote
Members JKane Posted January 7, 2014 Members Posted January 7, 2014 Yeah, as I just posted in the bugs/suggestions forum, it's changed back to how it was a long time ago. Tomcal may be able to logout but I'm not able to stay logged in. It is back to ignoring the 'remember me' checkbox and forgets who I am every day I visit. Sure wish 'the fixers' could find a compromise--where it worked as intended instead of always/never... Quote

Fortunately it still keeps me logged in all the time on the iPhone. JKane 1 Quote
Guest CharliePS Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I can't figure out how anything works now! Quote
Guest CharliePS Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Although I now seemed to come back no longer signed in on Firefox, I also seem to have a very complicated time getting signed in again. Now I'll try on IE. Quote
Guest CharliePS Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I still am not signed in when I come to the site on IE, but signing in is fairly easy. Now I'll try to sign out. Quote
Guest CharliePS Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I signed out on IE, and had to sign back in again when I returned, so that works. I still have not tried the keep me logged on button. Quote
Guest CharliePS Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 OK, I just don't understand how this works, and I am tired of trying. Maybe I will figure it out after some lunch. Quote
