I found it interesting that the state Supreme Court yesterday made New Mexico the 17th state in which same sex marriage is now legal, yet no one on this site or "the other site" even mentioned the fact. I guess the subject is no longer newsworthy.

And today a Federal Judge in Utah said the law in Utah banning same sex marriage was unconstitutional. And marriage licenses have already been issued? Utah is #18? who would have thought that?

Now that all the barriers seem to be falling, I hope that Utah will reinstate polygamy. The maybe a successful suit can be brought to also allow same sex polyandry. (Well, now that I think of it, hiring escorts is probably cheaper and more efficient.)

I suspect that there were will be several states that will hold out together (Alabama?Arkansas? Idaho?Louisiana?Mississippi?Oklahoma?South Carolina?Texas?West Virginia?) until a Supreme Court decision invalidates the anti-gay-marriage laws throughout the country.
