Visiting Key West For First Time

I have a four day vacation planned with a favorite escort in mid January. Read the city review and found that useful. I would like to ask members here for any hotel recommendations there that they might have (or places to avoid). I am not looking specifically for a gay resort/hotel but wouldn't be totally opposed to that.

Any other comments or suggestions about Key West in general would be appreciated (such as is it worth renting a car or not).

Finally, after nearly 25 years of hiring, this will actually be my first multi-day vacation with an escort. I feel we are pretty compatible and enjoy similar things based on our previous overnight meeting, with was outstanding (clearly, otherwise I wouldn't even be considering a longer term period). He has been escorting for a number of years so he is experienced and comes across as playful but also mature, reasonable and easy going. Anyway, I would appreciate any suggestions from members about how to make the extended time together just as enjoyable, stress free and relaxing as I want it to be. One of my concerns is that I am not used to being with someone 24hrs/day for several days in a row. Another concern is my stamina, both physically and sexually, over several days compared to that of someone 20 years younger than myself. Maybe there are other things I should be thinking about but frankly I don't know what I don't know so that is why I am asking here

I and several other members of this site have been to EYW several times. It is an interesting city and very gay friendly. Although there are plenty of active things to do such as diving, fishing on a charter boat, clubbing and many others, there is (according to me) nothing wrong with just walking around and seeing the tourist sights, taking a boat tour, visiting the "tourist" traps for "stuff" and generally just having good meals and good times.

Usually, I just cab into town and either walk from there or rent a motor bike form such as Hospital Mopeds. Lots of fun if either of you can ride a bike. They will require proof that one of you can ride. No big deal.

Just looking at other tourists can be fun.

I've been to EYW twice. RA1 gives great advice about taking a cab. I found them reliable and a big asset after a few too many drinks to find my way back to the hotel. (I'm usually a two-drink max person and let myself go one night on each trip.)

As to your question about 24 hours with someone for several days. Work this out in advance with your escort, but I found giving us each some time to ourselves on extended visits is useful. Whether it is letting him go to the gym while I take a walk down the beach, or letting him have time to check email (although you have hired him for four days, he still has a business to run) while I finish my another chapter in my vacation mystery novel.
