Members RA1 Posted November 25, 2013 Members Posted November 25, 2013 Another version of "you are over qualified" for this job, an oxymoron if I ever heard one. Best regards, RA1 Quote
Members MsGuy Posted November 25, 2013 Members Posted November 25, 2013 Clearly a conspiracy by Irish and Italians police brass to keep out Jews. AdamSmith 1 Quote
Members JKane Posted November 25, 2013 Members Posted November 25, 2013 I've heard about departments doing this for a long time. As far as I know, Detectives work their way up through from the street, right? So they would have the same limits? So all the police procedurals on TV featuring super-genius defectives are pure fantasy... AdamSmith 1 Quote
Members RA1 Posted November 25, 2013 Members Posted November 25, 2013 TV a fantasy? Surely you jest. Best regards, RA1 Quote
AdamSmith Posted November 25, 2013 Author Posted November 25, 2013 Seems entirely so. My high school guidance counselor told me of being at some weekend professional convention when one of her roommates vanished while alone in their hotel room. Presumed kidnapped. The local police worked it for two days with no success. Then the FBI came in, tracked down the woman and her kidnapper, and resolved the thing, with no one injured (can't recall the details), all within 4 hours. Quote
