Part of the Plaza Brasília chain, this property has modern rooms that are a cut above the rest of Brasília's hotels. The pool area is great as well, with a pool bar for maximum lounging.

The Manhattan Plaza has a nice gym and a pretty pool; the rooms are a bit tired but clean and serviceable. And the rooms have airy balconies that are perfect for some fresh air.

If you like using the services and amenities of a hotel, then this is your choice the rooftop pool, the gym, the public spaces, and the restaurant are really well done. The rooms are nice too, but along the lines of what you've come to know for this strangely retro city (at least when it comes to hotels).

The Golden Tulip is always a gay-friendly brand throughout Brazil, and this property is no exception. Note, though, that this one is more of a resort style, and is not in the Brasília center. But it's gorgeous, has a great pool area that is the centerpiece of the hotel, and has all the amenities you'd expect from this chain.

This hotel was designed by Oscar Niemeyer is one of the most beautiful buildings of Brasília. Bar Beirute is a Brasília institution, with a hip, mixed crowd that is very gay-friendly. Hang out, check out the scene, grab a drink, or chow down on some suprisingly delicious Lebanese cuisine.

Despite the name, this is NOT a bear bar. But it is a gay-friendly place that always has something going on. It's a bit of a circus atmosphere, and there's some great dance parties as well. And yes, it really is in that place that looks like an office building.

This is a legit wine and cocktail bar with a mixed crowd, but let's just say the gays have taken it over. So while you won't find any drag shows or shirtless nights, it's definitely a palce to see and be seen by the gayorati of Brasília.

This is another mixed bar that is not overtly gay, but because of its focus on cultural events it attracts a gay crowd. They have live music, film festivals, and many other events that liven up the city. The outdoor area is a nice place to relax and people watch.

If you've been to Blue Space in São Paulo, then you know what to expect here at their Brasília location drag queens, shirtless men everywhere, go-go boys, a great DJ, and a heaving crowd under the laser lights.

This lesbian-heavy gay bar has a tiny interior, but a big outdoor terrace that is relaxed and fun. They have live music on Saturday nights, and a local vibe that can make the city feel like home.

Situated in a park known as a gay cruising site, you can imagine that it's a pretty popular location that brings together all kinds. Note, though, that it is frequently shut down for lengths of time by the police, so ask around to see if it's open while you're in town.

This is a fun LGBT bar that has live acoustic music, theme nights, and a good time had by all. It's outside of Brasília proper in Taguatinga Norte, but worth the travel.

Souls Bar is proudly gay-friendly, and serves insanely good, proper cocktails. It's located in the Shopping Dakota center. There is different music every night of the week, and outdoor seating for those hot nights.

Yes, that Bardot so, yes, this is a gay spot. It's in Taguatinga, the town neighboring Brasília, so make a night of it by starting out at UTI and then heading over to Bardot. A young, fun LGBT crowd.

This gay and lesbian nightclub in a shopping mall brings out a young, twink crowd. There are campy stage shows, drag shows, and lots of dancing. Expect extreme levels of silliness.

This is arguably the most traditional gay club in Brasília, meaning that it will feel the most familiar to you: go-go boys, strip shows, thumping music and laser lights, and plenty of dance floor cruising action. They also show films in an outdoor area.

While a gay club, it does bring in a mixed crowd, so don't assume every hot bod you see is available. That being said, it brings in international DJs that keep a hot and sweaty crowd dancing all night long.

This hot, hot, HOT club has theme nights that really pack in a crowd, and the shirtless boys here are yummy, if leaning towards a bit muscle-y. There are DJ guests and drag shows, and a mixed crowd here as well (comprised of mostly straight girls). Saturdays are the gayest.

This place is a blast there is always a theme night, drag show, costume party or some other crazy thing going on that makes it seem like a real party from the moment you enter. The productions are really quality, definitely worth seeing.

This landmark pub has a mixed crowd, with a heavy emphasis on the gays. There's always live music or a DJ, and it can get pretty rockin' as the night wears on. Try to look past the '80s facade as you enter, and you'll be fine.

Brasília Gay Sauna

This sauna is spread out over three floors, and is pretty basic. But it is decent on the weekends, and focuses on the standards of a gay sauna spa services, a bar, a video room, and free wifi. No shows, though, and closes at 11pm. According to one recent visitor: The garotos looks are closer to Meio Mundo style than Club 117. Muscled guys are the exception.

This sauna is located between a church and a porn cinema, so, you know, it's definitely worth a visit. But note that it's a mixed-sex sauna. It's only open from 2pm-10pm, so no dilly-dallying!

This is the sauna you want to go to in Brasília. It's got decent private cabins, decent food, and a lovely selection of boys to get your juices flowing. It's best on the weekends, but any day is fine it's the best sauna in town.

This restaurant is popular with girls who like girls, but has an all-around gay vibe that's fun and friendly. There's decent food day and night, and live music in the evenings.

This is a cute cafe with excellent chocolate cake! And they make a mean cup of coffee, and have a full diner-y type menu as well. It has a friendly staff and great outdoor seating.

This restaurant has some down-home favorites, some inventive dishes, and it's all dirt cheap and tasty. They do in fact serve tapioca here, and it makes a great finish to your meal. Note it's only open until 9.30pm.

Savana serves a fantastic breakfast if you want to get out of your hotel, and it's THE place to eat and be seen before everyone hits the clubs. The menu focuses on lighter fare like salads and quiches, but it's delicious and filling.

There are specific cruising spots in the park, but the park itself deserves a listing as a whole as it is pretty much gay central from end to end. This place is definitely worth it to swing on by and check out the scene, especially if you are with friends.
