AdamSmith Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Nice! NYC Club updates: Club 20 and Splash are no more. Possibly local posters can update on any pending or rumored reopenings/reincarnations. TotallyOz 1 Quote
TotallyOz Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Thanks Adam. What I have decided to do is to post on the threads of those businesses they are closed and if others find this is not the case, they have 15 days to report back. If not other posts, the threads will be removed from the site and the database. Fair to all? AdamSmith 1 Quote
Guest lurkerspeaks Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Herein lies the trouble with city guides... bars/restaurant/etc come and go so quickly. What is up to date today, can be severely outdated in a month or two.. That is why I think it is great that you have the "edit" feature on the guides here so "in the know" visitors or locals can hopefully help keep things fairly updated. Hopefully more readers will take a little "pride in ownership" to do their part and update their home location and any place they visit... Quote
Members Lucky Posted October 16, 2013 Members Posted October 16, 2013 I still can't find the edit function. If I could, I might want to suggest kindly that this is no longer true of Ground Zero: "While a new building will eventually be constructed, Ground Zero today remains a large, unimproved hole in the ground". But, I am hoping that others will help out. There are many cities that things don't change often like Rio. The major saunas are still there and have been for years. Some come and some go but for the most part, not hard to keep up with. I still can't find the edit function. If I could, I might want to suggest kindly that this is no longer true of Ground Zero: "While a new building will eventually be constructed, Ground Zero today remains a large, unimproved hole in the ground". Damn it! I built this based on people like you who I know will help the site grow and be more accurate and the damn thing is being stubborn. I am sorry for this. I have literally spent 20 hours with programmers on this in the last week. It is a bit complicated due to the face they are the guides are on sub domains and not boytoy.com ONLY. Thus, there are issues. It is my fault completely and I apologize for this. I have been working hard to fix the issues with it but not something easy to do. Lucky, can you log out, log in from the front page, go back to front page and scroll down to the city guides int he middle of the page and tell me if you see the edit. If not, in the thread about this, I gave the solution that worked for everyone so far and it has to do with clearing your cache. So sorry. Quote
Members Lucky Posted October 16, 2013 Members Posted October 16, 2013 Oz, I tried that, and still no edit function. But, having faith in you and the guys working so hard on this, I tried it again just now, and guess what? I was able to submit an edit for consideration! Interesting enough, my other comment that I was coming to the site already logged in seems to have been fixed too. Quote
