TotallyOz Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Gay Paris Bars 1 Café Cox | 15 Rue des Archives, 75004 | 01 42 72 08 00 | http://www.cox.fr/ With a name like that, how could we not put it at the top of our list? With a constantly changing décor and guest DJ roster, the older leather crowd does have some young things scattered here and there, and it's practically an institution in the Marais so put it on your agenda. 2 Sly | 22 Rue des Lombards, 75004 | 06 62 84 64 61 | http://www.sly-bar.com/ A mixed gay crowd leaning towards the younger demographic, but all ages and kinds of gay come here to play. Thursday happy hours include a bracelet that signifies your relationship status, making flirting a whole lot more efficient. 3 Banana Café | 13 Rue de la Ferronnerie, 75001 | 01 42 33 35 31 | http://www.bananacafeparis.com/ Another fantastically named place, it may look like your run-of-the-mill gay bar at first but come a bit later, and head downstairs for the real action: drag shows, smokin'-hot go-go boys, and themed nights that include the non-PC Oriental Session, with an Arab theme. 4 Le CUD Bar | 12 Rue des Haudriettes, 75003 | 01 42 77 44 12 | http://cud-paris.com/ This is another bar where the upstairs is good for a chat, but the real action is down below. There is a lot more cruising at this bar than some others on our list, and skews a bit younger as well although, this being Paris, you will find some heteros in the mix. Don't go before 2am. 5 One Way | 28 Rue Charlot, 75003 | 01 48 87 46 10 | http://www.oneway-paris.com/site/ Once again, a bar with a fun downstairs level. So make your way past the leather hat-studded ceiling and head down to the dungeon-style basement, where there is a sex swing, videos, and a dark room with a smoking section. Bears love it, and leather daddies abound. 6 Quetzal Bar | 10 Rue de la Verrerie, 75004 | 01 48 87 99 07 | no website Everyone at some point or another makes their way to and through Quetzal, so make sure to at least cruise on by when you're out and about. Otherwise, it's yet one more place that has a traditional bar up top and tons of action down below. 8 Le Raidd | 23 Rue du Temple, 75004 | 01 92 77 09 88 | http://www.raiddbar.com/ This is a bar, not a club, although that's because of its size more than anything. The big draw here, other than the DJ, is the shower. Yes, the shower go-go boys soap up and get down in a hot, steamy shower as the main entertainment here. There are also fun theme nights and plenty of cruising to go around. 9 Café Moustache | 138 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin, 75010 | http://cafe.moustache.free.fr/ We don't know what's up with these bars that pass as traditional cafes, but here's another one. It even has quaint terrace seating out front! But inside there is a dark room, video room, private cabins, and all your other cruising needs. 10 La Bonne Nouvelle | 4 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75010 | no number | no website Tired of the super-gay Marais? Just want a drink at a gay bar without the thumping bass? Head to La Bonne Nouvelle, where everyone is just chilling out and also happen to be gay. The chatty crowd are definitely checking each other out, but everyone's friendly and chatty. A lot of fun. 11 Krash | 12 Rue Simon le Franc, 75004 | 09 50 41 13 26 | http://www.krashbar.com/ This sex bar has a Saturday night Naked Night that is not to be missed! Plenty of cruising hallways, back rooms, and even a sex swing in the two-level basement. 6 Impact | 18 Rue Grenata, 75002 | 01.42.21.94.24 | http://impact-bar.com/GAY-FR/index.php Nudie bar! This is the club you want to go to if you're tired of the loud techno and flashing lights; it's more intimate, but no less dance-y, and everybody comes for a good time. 8 Folies Pigalle: BBB Black Blanc Beur | varying locations | http://www.kelma.org//PAGES/B.B.B/soiree_gay_bbb.php This is a weekly party that brings out the glorious men of color, and the paler amongst us who adore them.
