My own understanding is that the use of condoms seems to be much less common now than a few years ago. A recent widely quoted study claims the prevalence of HIV rates amongst MSMs in Thailand has soared to 28.4% This compares with 8% in Taiwan, 4.4% in Tokyo and 4.05% in Hong Kong. I have zero knowledge of the research process but even if there is a wide margin of error, the use of condoms is clearly on the wane, meaning a lot of younger Thais are ignoring all the evidence about HIV transmission. I wonder if the increasing popuarity of bukkake VDO's with bareback sex and cum swallowing has something to do with it? Certainly a number of gay websites have information about bareback parties to which all seem welcome. Quote
