What happened to the Casper Benz thread?

It was visible an hour or so ago, and now it is gone. What happened to it?

It was removed for moderator discussion. It may or may not return. When people start posting nasty comments to another poster, it gives us cause to remove.

And, there were more than one posts in that thread that rose to the level of "you've got to be kidding me"

Since I was the main "instigator" if you will, I was wondering what happened. I never saw it as any nasty comments against anyone. An escort asked for some feedback. He got some that was handed in what was intended to be a friendly way. He took it differently and came across as a rather (IMHO) immature person. Again, in my opinion, to remove the thread would be a disservice as it shows a view of the escort's demeanor and how he handles certain situations.

And this comes from someone who had hoped to hire Casper on his next trip to Vegas, so don't go thinking I am a hater.

My first impression when I saw the thread gone was "an escort has made himself look foolish and now the thread disappears".. which sounds like something that would happen over "there" at the other site.

When long time posters start calling another poster a pompous ass and other things, I'll remove that thread today and tomorrow. It was a thread that was gutter and while some good comments in the thread (thus why we left it so long) it was going in the wrong direction. And, if over there removed a thread that was nasty and berating another poster, good for them.

And as far as "over there" goes, it is pretty obvious that that site is much more pro escort than pro client.. so something which makes certain escorts look bad goes mysteriously MIA..

We have always tried to be equally fair to all. We have never been more pro escort more than pro client. IMHO But, others may see it differently.

IMO "pompous ass" is mild. To me it seemed that his reaction to the critique he asked for sounded pompous. Look up the dictionary definition of pompous and I very much doubt if you will conclude that it is so negative as to prohibit its use on a message board.

However this "long time poster" is quite willing to cease posting if he is causing such consternation.

He had his fans, Oz being one of them. And of course, there was Casper himself. Given time, we all might have come to know and like him. He just got off to a bad start, not knowing the terrain he was taking, I think that's one reason why many people lurk before they post, so they can get a better feel for the forums and the way people conduct themselves...or not.

I don't think Casper is a bad person. I still find him to be very sexy overall. Sure, there are a couple of physical characteristics that I might not be a fan of, but given the opportunity, i would still hire him. The reviews that he has at Daddy's are all positive. It reminded me of a time when I was back in high school and I wore a beautiful pair of Jordash jeans and it had a little horse on it. The problem was Gloria Vanderbilt had the same jeans but hers had a little swan on them as a symbol near the pockets. I never said that you were the first or the second or even the third to post a negative comment. I said that your statement was taken and others ran with it after you. You may have missed that but the words were repeated after you.

The negativity started before and we left it up until I felt it was going into the gutter. Sorry if you feel that is like Daddys. It has nothing to do with me liking the kid. It has to do with me feeling we have to treat all others in a kind and appropriate way. Debate as much as you wish but debate the topic. This was hard to do in this thread as it was about one escort and he brought the subject up. Still, there are ways to say things and ways that are inappropriate. It amazes me that you might see this as disallowing anything but Goody Two Shoes comments. We have always kept threads alive on this site that would not stand on any other site. People ARE who they are, and the criticism of Casper was probably a good thing in that it allowed us to see his personallity in the most spontaneous and raw sense. Perhaps some who might have considered hiring him for his looks might reconsider BECAUSE of his response and demeanor ?

The bottom line is that Casper created a poll and sought to get feedback, but apparently only wanted ONE kind of feedback: POSITIVE.

Oz was merciful in withdrawing this one from the arena, IMO.

Clearly this thread was going nowhere good. It came off the rails right away with Casper's reaction to lurker's post. Several people got their say and Casper got to reply. As I said, it was unfortunate but this thread was going nowhere good and it was clear that Casper was not well seasoned for navigating his way in this type of venue. To let it go on would have been unseemly.

The tone of lurker's comments was appropriate, if misunderstood, as were most others appropriate, and not intended to be offensive. Casper is young, pretty and... well, young. I suspect he is a great escort, a lot of fun and will mellow with age.
