Guest fountainhall Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I wish I could work this out. US$1 presently equals approx. Bt. 32.5 and HK$7.8. So if 1 ounce of gold at the London closing yesterday was US$902, that should equal Bt. 29,315 and HK$7,035. Can anyone elighten me as to why the rates of the Gold Traders' Association are approx. Bt. 13,750 and HK$8,368? I realise there is probably a 7% tax on gold in Bangkok and none in Hong Kong, but the differences are huge. I must be missing something . . but what? Are the basic weights different? Quote
