TotallyOz
The Grand Palace in Bangkok is a series of buildings right in the heart of the city. A visit to Bangkok without seeing this magnificent compound at least once is a shame. Every time I go there I am transported back to the King and I movie I saw as a child. It really is simply breathtaking and photos do not do it justice. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of my favorite areas. It is quite stunning. wayout and flipao

Members Lucky
It's definitely worth a visit...or a dozen! I love going there. The King does not live there, btw. Most recently, he lived in a hospital on the Chao Praya River. But three weeks ago, he left the hospital for the first time in four years to go to the resort city of Hua Hin, where he has a seaside residence. And did you know that the 85 year old King was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts? TotallyOz
