Is A Cute Guy Needed In A Movie?

Today I went to see the movie The Spectacular Now, which has some good reviews. I hated it. The boy in it was selfish, but more importantly, he was a lush. His girl dumps him and he takes up with a nice girl, giving her her own engraved flask. It's all downhill from there.

But I wondered if I would have liked the movie more if the actor was cuter. He plays a charming character, but I wasn't so charmed. Now we all know that cute guys have the advantage when it comes to being charming because we are so willing to be charmed with them. So this movie, I think, would have worked better if differently cast. That's my opinion.

And your opinion? Is Miles Teller cute enough to charm you in a movie?

I don't necessarily look for a cute guy in a movie. One of my all time favorites is Steel Magnolias and I can't think of any cute guy there with any long part at all.

I also love Indy flicks.

Sure, a cute guy is nice to see but seeing a movie that moves me is why I go to the movies. (Unless it is an action movie and then I want to see lots of blood)

Is a cute guy needed in a movie? If it is porn, absolutely yes. Otherwise, not necessarily.

Is Miles Teller cute enough to charm you in a movie? Possibly. He does have a nice smile and that can go a long way to charm me I don't find him over the top cute but he does (from that pic and others I googled) have a certain cuteness about him (at least to me) that works in his favor. I suppose if his personality/acting in the movie were good enough that would help him be more charming. Nevertheless, the more cute a guy is, the easier it is for him to be charming.
