Guest EXPAT Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 For the second year in a row, New Zealand has won the Mr. Gay World contest, which this year took place in Antwerp, Belgium. Chris Olwage, known by fans as "the Black Swan" for his pointe ballet performances and appearances on "New Zealand's Got Talent," beat out 24 other winners of Mister Gay pageants from five continents for the crown on Aug. 5. Competitors in the pageant are judged in four different categories: modeling, sports, leadership qualities and knowledge of LGBT-related issues. Mr. Gay World is a cultural and sportsmanship contest that happens annually in conjunction with The World OutGames and is sponsored by the Gay and Lesbian International Sport Association. Quote
