Best and Worst Things to spend money on in Thailand

I think the best thing I ever spent money on was a motorcycle for the boyfriend. It was something that he really wanted and has taken great care of.

 

The worst thing I spent money on was a VIP telephone number on my 2nd trip to Thailand. It was at MBK and I walked out after buying it and hit myself on the head and said, "what the fuck were you thinking?"

 

What about others? What are some of the best things or worst things you have spent money on in LOS?

Hmmm.....probably best, at least from my personal point of view, has been education expenses. Also a motorsy helmet. Oh, a hot water shower thing for his momma.....a rather big hit. Oh, some dental and medical stuff too. Probably many other things I can't currently recall.

 

Worst or dumbest things I've spent money on in Thailand? Probably too much booze...hehe. And maybe the second time I bought him a mobile phone (it only took me twice to learn there will be no third or fourth or fifth...). And probably many other things I can't currently recall (and I am thanking my brain for not dredging up other expenses that pissed me off).

I agree. Dental checkups and visits are one of the best things that someone can do for a Thai boy. Most need them and have never had one. It is not something most will spend money on and it is really needed by many.

The worst and best thing was a gold chain. Worst because it cost a lot; best because the price of gold doubled since buying it! For the bf, not for me.

 

Seriously, the best has been health care for the boy friend. The worst was the custom made suits which shrunk. Or did I expand?
