At Lincoln Park Zoo, the Primate House and the restored Rookery are not to be missed.

For culture, the Cloud Gate/Bean, I believe might attract more visitors than the Crown Fountain. However, anyone visiting Millenium Park needs to cross the Renzo Piano bridge to the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Forget about the "L" and grab the 22, 36 and 151 buses, which will take you everywhere along the Lakefront, Loop and neighborhoods mentioned in the article.

The article failed to mention the Museum Campus created next to the Toilet Bowl, Field Museum of Natural History with Sue, Shedd Aquarium with their Belugas and the Adler Planetarium and SkyShow.
