Members Suckrates Posted July 7, 2013 Members Posted July 7, 2013 :01 PM ET | Filed under: Canadialand • Inspiration • Business Blitz • Food The Crookie is about to take Canada by storm, and you can totally tell why by the picture (above)! 'When you bite in, it's creamy and sweet, with the cream wrapping itself in the croissant dough and a crunchiness from the Oreo bits.' Food boner alert! LOLz! This amazing desert was created by a Canadian pastry chef, and it's made by stuffing croissant dough with crushed Double Stuf Oreos and icing sugar, then baking it with half an Oreo placed on top. I WANT ONE SOOOOOOOO BAD - Creamy and sweet inside.... It don't get better than that ! Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I'm not into sweets so I think I will pass. But is the chef who created this dessert going to be the next Paula Deen? Quote
AdamSmith Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 But is the chef who created this dessert going to be the next Paula Deen? Oh my! We know what an "Oreo" means in racial speak. What on earth could the "Crookie" come to represent? Quote

AdamSmith Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Well, a little more dirty-minded here. If an "Oreo" is someone accused of being "black outside, white inside," then what kind of person is a Crookie: several Oreos stuffed inside a BIG FAT white thing -- topped by another Oreo!? Quote
Members RA1 Posted July 8, 2013 Members Posted July 8, 2013 I course I knew what an Uncle Tom Oreo is. However, your graphic description hits a little too close to home, especially on a Saturday night. Best regards, RA1 AdamSmith 1 Quote
