Where Do You Want To Live?

Right now I am working on a move. It might happen but if not that is ok too.

What I had n mind while creating this post is where you guys would like to live given your current circumstances. Lets say you have the funds to move anywhere in the world but your over all lifestyle will remain the same ... meaning you do not have endless money (of course unless you are OZ  ).

I am curious how many would stay in their current living situation and who might wonder to a different city or even country.

Don't be shy ...

If I had unlimited money, I would be in Paris as it is my favorite city on earth. Now, Rio is just about as expensive.

IMHO, if you like Asian guys, Thailand is a great place to move and live. It is easy for expats to set up things and do what you need there.

Are you considering the USA or just anywhere?

I want to live in a peaceful mountain cottage but not sure I will be able to do that when I get old...

On Saturday the temperature was 122 here in Palm Springs. Although I love it here, that's the sort of day that makes me fantasize about Astoria, Oregon. Of course, I rarely think about Astoria in mid-winter. One place I do fantasize about often, however, is Oahu.

Hands down SanDiego. Perfect weather and anything you could possibly want to do. Just so damn expensive to live near the water. Would not want to be there unless I could see or was on the water.

Carmel is great about 80 days a year. I lived there once and overall the weather sucks but when it is 75 and sunny it may be one of the best place s on earth.

San Diego also has Helix Studio and their endless parade of twinks that are often found hanging around Hillcrest... another benefit. Tough question... but with endless money I might consider London or NYC. Like both of those places a lot but staying there for more than a week and entertaining yourself with the things that we on this board like to do is definitely not for those with shallow pockets.

I think NYC is great for short periods. Weather there is not that great and certainly for a short time visitor it has become cheaper to fly an escort in then it is to get Hotel Rooms which now average $400 a night for anything decent.

But since you already live in some of the greatest weather , maybe you need that foggy, rainy weather of LONDON. LOL

I want to live on an exotic beach at the foot of inactive volcanic mountains where it is cool in the summer and temperate in the winter, free of hurricanes, tsunamis and snow; close to a gay friendly metropolitan center with theatre, museums, restaurants, boy bars and a good international airport nearby. The cost of living is inexpensive. I would have included more specifications but I just woke up. :(

To those who mentioned my hometown of San Diego don't forget the sexy sailors or marines too :P Some of the most fun I had was with twink looking sailors yum ^_^

Carmel would be nice.....

Beautiful and quaint but 100% devoid of any type of gay community and venues and escorts or any hotties otherwise. In fact, this is indicative of the Monterey Peninsula all over! ...have lived in the vicinity for some forty+ years.

But, if I had the money, I could "import" hot guys here instead of my driving to San Francisco, etc.....

If I had the money and all of the necessary, needed support-- my choice of location would be Rio de janeiro. I'd be living in a beautiful house with an ocean view.....

THIS IS A WONDERFUL thread!

Lacking common sense, I confess that when (if) I manage to get the dilithium re-crystallized, I will make a beeline back to that same Manahatto where containment failed the first time around.

With trace elements of Thailand to be introduced into the crystal lattice. ^_^
