In the old days it was not uncommon for quite a few clients to be doing at least an overnight if not longer. We rarely hear about these hires anymore ... is it the economy or the novelty has worn off or possibly just not full-filling as you had hoped it would be.

The trend now seems to be hourly hires or a escort vacation to places like Brazil or Thailand.

What do you guys think am I wrong or?

I think it depends. The dollars do come into play. Also different clients have different preferences. So far I have never done an hourly but that does not mean I am unwilling, just a personal preference. Others seem to think it is a waste of time and money to be actually sleeping with or near an escort.

If you want a BF experience, that will involve more than wham bam. Otherwise wham bam may be the ticket.

As I said on another thread, overnights are usually a waste of money for me. I used to do them but I prefer sleeping alone and the idea of paying an escort to sleep is anathema to me. I book overnights now only when I fly in a must-see and must-have-now guy. I sometimes think it's better to fly to them and do a 1 or 2 hour session at a hotel and perhaps see other escorts in that city as well during the trip. That being said, weekend, week or longer stays at a reasonable total fee are very desirable with the right escort(s).

I don't have any written in stone rules for myself when it comes to length of time. While I prefer longer appointments, sometimes the hour ones work for me just fine. Typically the shorter ones happen for guys who haven't been reviewed but there are exceptions. I always get rates for the hour, multiple hours/evening and for an overnight. Often the marginal cost between those three will influence my choice.

I hire mostly when I travel and typically budget a certain amount of money for extracurricular activities. If I go to a city with a great deal of choices that interest me (like London), then to stay in budget I tend to hire for shorter times and hire more guys. Other places only have one or two at most that interest me so then the appointments tend to be longer.

For me, the last year or two have been less hiring due to less travel but when I do hire they are for longer periods (at least an evening but often an overnight) because of the places I am traveling to and selection available.
