TotallyOz Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Businesses & Organizations 1 Gay Information Centre (Gaytic) | Spuistraat 44 | 203 30 14 61 | http://www.gaytic.nl/ Just as its name would imply, this is where you can come to for all your gay information in Amsterdam, including up to the minute info on parties and fun events as well as general tourist information and more serious issues. They also have a store with magazines and (adult) toys. You can also order their kit online that includes all the gay info you'll ever need for Amsterdam, plus a free gift! 2 Pink Point | Westermarkt (corner Raadhuistraat and Keizersgracht) | 20 428 10 70 | http://www.pinkpoint.org Pink Point is another LGBT information center; it's a pop-up kiosk, though, not a building. It has info, souvenir-tchotchke type items for sale, and a super friendly staff who can help you with anything you need. 3 Amsterdam Gay Zone | Spuistraat 21 | 20 625 8797 | Watch the video and you get the idea: it's part sex shop, part cinema, part cruising bar, and all gay. They have twink parties and other theme nights. 4 Oosterpark Nighttime is the right time for cruising in Oosterpark, and it's good if you like more exotic men. But it can get a bit sketchy as it's not well lit, so be careful or go with a pal. And yes, that dude on a bike is cruising you while he's cruising around. We swear, the locals do EVERYTHING on bikes. 5 Nieuwe Meer Unlike the other cruising spots on our list, this one is always jumping especially in summer, when there is a naturist area. Visit during the day for the safest times, and don't mind the cows they were put there to discourage cruising, but it has stopped exactly no one. 6 Vondelpark The park as a whole is a nice spot to relax, but at night the Rozentuin (Rose Garden) is full of flowers waiting to be plucked, if you catch our drift. Members ihpguy Posted May 20, 2013 Members Posted May 20, 2013 If memory serves, the address Spui 44 used to be the locale for one of the Houses With Boys. Along with Spui 21. Anyone going, not pronounced as one would think. Rhymes with pow, how and now. And the Spui wasn't always a straat or street. Rather a canal that was filled in. Quote
