When I was in Brazil I was offered decent sums several times by the men there when they came on to me and I told them I was straight. In the US a lot of gay guys come on to me. I would like to be able to make some money off this. But I'm not sure how to do it. First of all in the US, in New York or Boston, how would I go about advertising myself or finding clients? I don't think craigslist works (and it's full of cops trolling from what I heard), and not sure about other sites. I don't want to put my profile up on any site where I have to pay or leave my real name in any way. I'm also not sure about sites, and how safe they are in general. Alternatively, in Brazil there are saunas where you can start doing this, but there's nothing like that in the US...or is there? Are there bars or clubs where you can go and it's "understood" or at least possibly understood by the patrons that you're there to hustle? I'd almost prefer to do it in person, because they can see me and I can see them, but I don't know if this is done anymore. Also I obviously don't want to do it by waiting out on a street corner. My main concern is that I'd want to do it in a way that's worthwhile. I thought about it before, but I don't want to do it a couple of times for a few hundred bux and then have a long dry spell. A few hundred won't do anything for me, and, the adventure part of it aside, I want to be able to make some real money off this, which means either having a network of clients, or having some very rich client. Please don't troll my thread, I'd like to get some real advice from people who know the market, etc.; I know I've traded words with some of you in the past, but there's no reason to derail my thread here. About me, I'm a guy of "questionable" sexuality, bi I suppose, never bottomed and mostly do stuff only with women (so I'd want to be exclusively a top) and I'm handsome, in very good shape, athletic, have a tan, clean, etc., I learned how to be a good rentboy from the guys in Brazil haha. In New York that means Rentboy A small paid ad on back page might be okay to grab your first few clients my advice take that money and invest it in quality advertising & decent photos not photos shot on a phone but with a decent digital camera. if you cant afford a photographer get a tripod. I shoot all my massage ads myself that way. Speaking of massage unless your licensed id advice against offering that since it comes with its on separate laws. escorting for time only isn't illegal massaging without a license is illegal regardless of how many ads you see out there. Shoot good photos. id say 1 good full body clothed shot, 1 full body nude shot. a couple of cock and ass shots. no tacky shots like holding a soda can to your dick. Id also suggest a good face shot. I know you can get clients without face shots but having them imo will increase your chances especially starting out until you get some reviews. safety advice req all clients to finalize appointments by phone no blocked numbers. No drugs no barebacking regardless of the offer assume everyone has stds use protection. If they come to you. have a clean place, good hygiene, no talking or texting on phone while with clients. Don't claim things you dont offer. example. dont claim to bottom if you dont. Be on time for appointments. Don't ever talk about sex and money in the same conversation. Doing it a couple of times is not worth it...also I wasn't ready. Since then a rentboy friend of mine in Brazil told me he uses certain pills to help the act along...
