Guest rimchair Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 If Mark Sanford can come back from multiple ethics violations and a sexual scandal, so can Anthony Weiner! Mark Sanford, whose political career was left for dead with dozens of ethics violations and an extramarital affair made very public, will return to Congress. With 71 precinct of precincts reporting, CNN and the Associated Press have projected Sanford the winner over Elizabeth Colbert Busch in South Carolina's First Congressional District special election. Sanford leads Colbert Busch, 54 percent to 45 percent, with more than 100,000 votes counted. http://columbia-sc.patch.com/articles/ap-mark-sanford-wins-sc1-race-over-elizabeth-colbert-busch?icid=maing-grid7%7Cmaing9%7Cdl1%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D309762 Quote
Guest rimchair Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 A weiner has been launched! Associated PressNEW YORK — Anthony Weiner's run for a renaissance is officially on. The ex-congressman whose career imploded in a rash of raunchy tweets two years ago said in a YouTube video announcement late Tuesday that he's in the New York City mayoral race. He'd said last month he was considering it. "I made some big mistakes and I know I let a lot of people down, but I also learned some tough lessons," he said in the video. "I'm running for mayor because I've been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it my entire life. And I hope I get a second chance." With that, Weiner is embarking on an audacious comeback quest, hoping to go from punch line pol whose tweeted crotch shot was emblazoned on the nation's consciousness to leader of America's biggest city. The Democrat is jumping into a crowded field for September's primary. He's arriving with some significant advantages, including a $4.8 million campaign war chest, the possibility of more than $1 million more in public matching money, polls showing him ahead of all but one other Democrat — and no end of name recognition. Guest hitoallusa Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I don't think guys being sexually active isn't a crime. Through out history some guys who can afford to do so and had many wives or mistresses. The problem is order to support their partners they have to come up with a lot of money. Now where will they find that kind of money to support their mistresses ??? Lawyers and lobbyists love when politicians have hidden or open mistresses. It is much easier for them to entice them with money and gifts to control them. Why not have someone with expensive habits in the seat of power and control them? As long as they can prevent this economic strain that comes from having multiple wives or mistresses, I don't mind them being sexually active and doing whatever what they want with their personal life. As for my future husband.. If h cheats on me then we are getting divorced for sure! Quote
