At the Green park Resort in Naklua, Khun Sanyar chaired this monthly meeting of the Pattaya Business and Tourism Association. The main topic of discussion centered on power and water supplies to businesses which are continuing to cause concern and some exisiting problems which were highlighted in the meeting. Regarding the electric supply, some members mentioned that the electric company was asking for a reconnection fee if the electric bills were paid late even though the supply itself had not been cut. This extra charge should only be levied if the supply is disconnected and the company normally allows some leeway for customers who pay late in accordance with their published regulations. Representatives from the electric company were on hand to explain this charge and confirmed it was an administration error which will be rectified.

Further concerns over water supply to houses and businesses here in Pattaya were raised and the members fear a repeat of the acute water shortages from last year. It was explained that funding for additional pipelines connecting reservoirs from around the region and for the construction of deep wells has yet to be approved by central government in Bangkok and the association will apply pressure to the Pattaya Administration to resolve this issue before water supply problems return.
