dapitt Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 As I have never been to Chaing Mai would be grateful to hear from osme of those how have been before Simon, I think you will enjoy Chiang Mai very much. It, and the surrounding area, have much to offer. Over the past several weeks, GayThailand has posted a number of threads dealing with the various aspects of Chiang Mai. Just scroll downward through the list of topics and you'll see them. GayThailand's reports are quite thorough, and a few of us also added out particular perspectives to them. Just look down through the last several weeks of entries, you'll find them. Quote
KhorTose Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 1. Best area/hotel to stay--------Around Central--so stay PJ's Place--if you can get a booking. The best. 2. Tourist things to do by day-----Elephant farms, reptile farm, national parks, doi Suthep shrine, zoo shopping at local villages, backpacking, etc 3, Massage--I always recommended B-Beez. I've never gone wrong there and thier longivity speaks for itself. 4. Thaepae gate at night---but very young. Straight boys in night Bazaar by hotel D2---gay boys in night Bazaar near the climbing wall. The Mall at central. \Giood luck. I love Chiang Mai. If you are really bored go to one of the two English universities for monks and help them learn English by talking to them all day. Good luck. Quote

Guest Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Thanks for this...plenty to be getting on with. Thanks - Simon There are many post over the past month on this city. I really did enjoy it and will spend more time per year in that city that in any other. To me, it was the perfect blend of weather, hot boys, cheap expenditures and fun times. It will take me a while to get use to many of the ways the city operates but I do think it is well worth it. You will have fun there. Let us know when you have your trip what you thought. Quote
