TotallyOz Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Day 8 The cost for my camera to be repaired is 450 USD. It is not worth that so I declined. It is just not something I am willing to pay for. I had lunch at the mall and met my "date" from last night for lunch. It was enjoyable to see him but he spent over an hour talking to me and as he was working does that mean that Brazilians get more than 1 hour for lunch? I don't know and I didn't ask, I just hope he didn't get in trouble for this. I went back to Lagoa tonight and had a blast. When I walked in, I had about 6 young twinks come over to me and tell them they wanted to do a 3 way. I guess word got out that I liked 3 ways with the 2 boys from the last 2 nights and that I tipped them really well. I found the entire scene tonight comical as no one seemed interested in having sex with me but with me and another boy. LOL That would never happen in Thailand as the boys there are not great with 3 ways. But, the Brazilians lads are fantastic with them. I picked one guy I saw a few nights back and he and I chatted and he told me he was versatile and I was happy with that. He then called his friend over (without me asking him to) and said they would be "muito bon". I laughed and as I found them both adorable, I said OK. We got Room 24 again. I like it as the shower is a bit larger than the other rooms and the bedroom his a bit more comfortable and the TV is very nice. We went in and they turned porn on the TV but as they were both gay boys, they turned the channel to the gay porn instead of the straight stuff a lot of the boys pick. Again, the sex was fantastic. I loved it and they were both fabulous. They are 2 of the best kissers I have had here and they were also good at everything else. Both also came and both were really fun to be with. As I know many of you are more visual, I did take a photo with my shitty Sony that doesn't work properly. I can't do video or change any settings as the back screen needs to be replaced. But, even worst, I had my finger in the photo. But, hope you enjoy anyway! lookin, eeyore and flipao 3 Quote
Guest lurkerspeaks Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Thanks for the latest updates, Oz. and great pic.. love the boys.. Lookin.. trust me, tomcal has many guys in his rotation too, but none that I would call dogs..although they are definitely available for stud service. Quote
Members RA1 Posted March 8, 2013 Members Posted March 8, 2013 No, there was much more to the story but for now, I prefer to just keep the "date" to myself. It is someone I can see returning to Sao Paulo for a long visit. I wasn't trying to pry, just curious. Thanks for the reply. Best regards, RA1 flipao and TotallyOz 2 Quote
Members lookin Posted March 8, 2013 Members Posted March 8, 2013 I had my finger in the photo. But, hope you enjoy anyway! Yes, it's a very nice finger! Mind my asking if it's 'before' or 'after'? It looks like there's a bunch of lube under the nail, but it's out of focus and hard to tell. If you're looking for a new camera, I got a pretty nice Canon for a couple hundred bucks before my last trip, but I'm not sure what the prices are in Brazil. You take really good pictures, and it would be a shame to have to leave to our imaginations what it is you're getting into. TotallyOz and flipao 2 Quote

I looked at cameras down here and they are just too expensive. I want the new Panasonic Lumix. But, alas, not this trip. I still have a high end camera that I'll take some outside shots for but I don't see taking it into the saunas. Quote

TotallyOz Posted March 8, 2013 Author Posted March 8, 2013 Sao Paulo Summary I had a great time in Sao Paulo. The reports of Lagoa being dead was just not my experience but it can really depend on what you want and what you like. But, every night (but Monday) that I went, they had a plethora of everything including big muscle guys, twinks, skate boarder types, blacks, whites and others. There was never any problem with me finding what I wanted. Fragta is still very fun for me and I prefer it to Lagoa but I didn't find the usual number of twinks at Fragata as I did at Lagoa on this trip and as that is what I prefer many times, I tended to take more guys from Lagoa. Both places desperately need a makeover. Both need a bit of TLC. I see the massive amounts of customer and boys each night and I know these places have to be money cows. It seems to me that they would put a bit back into their place to keep them updated and fresh. But, they don't. The Mercado Municipal is now one of my favorite places in Sao Paulo. I love the food and the atmosphere. I went there several times. The Holiday Inn Express was a perfect choice. It was not a "high end" as the hotels I normally stay at but it was clean and the staff really was helpful and professional. I had a few issues with rooms and they changed me after my first night. As an apology, they gave me 20k bonus points. I was shocked. After the 3rd night, they changed me again and they gave me the entire stay for free. But, if you add the 20k bonus points, I came out ahead. I have to tell you, I was shocked that this happened but I was very happy to get 8 nights in Sao Paulo free. I think because I am a Royal Ambassador to their priority club they wanted to try to be top notch for me and when a few issues arose they went above board to make me happy. It worked. I have never been so happy in my life with a hotel. As always my friend Danilo is great to hang out with and to see. If you ever need a great tour guide/interpreter, he is the guy for you. Most of my meals I ate for around 15R or 7.50USD. Some were more and some were less but that is about the average I paid for any meal. The Holiday Inn Express had free breakfast so that was one expense I didn't incur. Transportation is easy in Sao Paulo. There are busses and subways everywhere and once you understand the system, it will make it very easy for you to do what you want to do and get where you want to go. Of course, taxis are also everywhere and I never had a problem finding one. If I lived here, I'd have to use the public transportation as I spent way too much on taxi rides that cost between 20R and 50R depending on where I wanted to go. flipao and docbr 2 Quote

Members RA1 Posted March 8, 2013 Members Posted March 8, 2013 How well one likes the hotel in which one stays is almost always because of the service folks involved. I have stayed in expensive and very inexpensive hotels over the years and have always found this to be true. It seems that Mr. Oz finds this to be the same. Therefore, if you are not expecting the world to be produced on a platter for you personally, then decide what is important to you and try to find places that will or might deliver it. I have been very lucky in this regard and have found "happiness" in Montreal, NYC, LAX, AKL, LAF and many, many places in between. It is amazing how well folks treat you when you treat them well. TotallyOz Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 Fortaleza Day 1 I left Sao Paulo today for Fortaleza. I left from the main airport. I was a bit surprised to be told I could not carry 2 carry ons onboard the plane as I had not "booked" this in advance. I used GOL airline as I get my Delta points. They didn't charge anything for the extra baggage and I had about 150 pounds total. The ticket was more expensive than the other airlines but I wanted my points. You can easily travel to most places in Brazil for around 100 - 150 USD. I just had ever heard about an "booking" for on board. I could not talk my way out of this. So, I let one carry on be placed underneath the plane. Not something I wanted to happen as I had valuable things inside but I don't think anything is missing and I'll be more careful in my packing on my next leg. Luckily, I pay close attention to the monitors and the announcements as my plane changed gates 5 times in less than 1 hour before we left. Nothing is in English so you need to pay close attention. The flight was 3.5 hours and the food on board was pay as you eat and they ran out of everything about half way down the plane. In other words, if you want food on board, take it with you as it was very disorganized. Fortaleza airport was much nicer than Sao Paulo or Rio. The taxi far was 36R from airport to hotel. I am staying at the Holiday Inn. It is a decent hotel on the beach and a nice view. But, it is again very basic room. I went to Dragon sauna tonight as all the boys I met in Sao Paulo from here told me it was the best. Let me tell you, this is the best designed sauna in all of Brazil. It is beautiful to look at and it is decorated to die for. It is scrumptiously clean. When you walk in, the place looks very bland and if you didn't know you are at the right address, you would not know you had found your destination. Once you are buzzed in, the front desk gives you a key and asks for your finger print. This finger print is the way you purchase all drinks, etc. The entire staff is color coordinated with matching shirt sand outfits. The locker room looks more like that of a NYSC than a sauna. There are 3 floors to Dragon and each floor is filled with enjoyable things. They have an open air solarium and swimming pool area. They have a beautiful cinema and dark rooms. They have professional massage room and a place for hair cuts, etc. They also have a small gift shop for clothes. Ordering drinks was easy and only required your finger to order. Drinks were 3.50 R. This sauna is so fucking gorgeous that you may want to just live here. The owner did a fantastic job on the place and I was very very impressed. As for the boys, there were few twinks here but there were about 30 plus guys and all were handsome and well defined. I would call them the Chelsea Boys look. They were not overly large but all were worked out chiseled bodies. I would say most were 20somthing. I found one guy that was half Japanese and half Brazilian and about 6 feet tall. He was adorable and we got a room. He was a lot of fun and delivered on all things he promised. The cost for the sauna was 35R. The room was about 40R as my total bill was 97R. The guy asked me for 50R and I said OK. Overall, the experience was great and I look forward to seeing what the other sauna is like tomorrow. I'll also try to get a few photos of the area in the next day or two. I am only here for the weekend so I'll try my best. http://www.dragonclubfortaleza.com.br/ flipao 1 Quote

TotallyOz Posted March 9, 2013 Author Posted March 9, 2013 I woke up early today and had a bit of a chill. I thought it was the air conditioner and after breakfast, I walked up and down the beach for a bit. I also went to the market and bought some water for the hotel as I hate paying hotel prices. In the afternoon, I was feeling even worse and I decided I needed to see a doctor. I didn't really want to go to the hospital so I ordered in so to speak. The hotel arranged for a doctor to come to my room and check me out. I was told the rate would be 330R. I was fine with that as I didn't want to leave the hotel. When he arrived, he spoke perfect English and he gave me a physical go over. He told me I have the flu. I did not know it was that bad but on top of that, he looked at my left ear and asked if I had any issues. I told him yes, that when I was in the plane yesterday I couldn't swallow and the ear hurt really bad. He said there was a tear there and I was lucky I could even hear out of it. He also said that I could not fly for another 72 hours. My plane leaves on Monday and he said if I took the flight, there was a chance that I would have a busted ear drum. So, now I have to cancel the flights and hotels and try to rearrange my trip to stay longer here. As everything is prepaid, I am not sure how I'll do it, but he did give me a medical certificate that says I am not allowed to fly. He also gave me a shot in the ass to help the swelling go down and to release the tightness in my head. A nurse had to bring this over to the hotel while he was here. The total cost of the doctor, the nurse and the shot was 500R. He gave me pharmacy for to help as well and the cost of that was 90R. I am glad I called and had a consult as he said there was an 80 percent chance of hearing loss in the left ear had I flown on Monday. So, I am bedridden today and not going out. flipao 1 Quote

Members RA1 Posted March 10, 2013 Members Posted March 10, 2013 It really sucks to be out of the country and ill. I once spent 3 days in a bath tub in Glascow when some hemorrhoids were acting up. But, that treatment worked and I then went on to Iceland. Any chance you could continue your journey by land? If you ran into any ill mannered passengers on the train or bus, you could breathe on them and get at least some revenge. Otherwise, rest and get well. Best regards, RA1 flipao and TotallyOz 2 Quote

You're lucky he thought to do this, and smart to have called him in the first place. This article has some good tips on caring for a ruptured eardrum, along with a theory that it can be caused by a strong sucking kiss, which I'm sure you would have told us about if it were the case. Do take good care until you're healed. Maybe the extra time in Fortaleza was meant to be. I once spent 3 days in a bath tub in Glascow when some hemorrhoids were acting up. Guest EXPAT Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 My eardrum burst one time as I flew in to the Palm Springs airport. Trust me that is not fun. And it is extremely painful. After you heal you might consider carrying some Nasonex with you as you travel. A couple of sprays before you fly helps keep those ear tubes open. Quote
Members RA1 Posted March 10, 2013 Members Posted March 10, 2013 The Valsalva Maneuver is the one I prefer to use to "clear my ears" when flying or they otherwise do not equalize. This involves holding your nose and very gently blowing. For some reason some people are unable to learn how to do this; for others it seems to come naturally. This has always worked for my ears even if I have the beginnings of a cold or some such and it can be used repeatedly as necessary. It may not work on stopped up sinuses. There are several other methods but I find chewing gum and the like to not be effective. However, whatever works for you should be continued. lookin- You are prefectly welcome to use my "line". You have already given me credit for it. Best regards, RA1 lookin, flipao and TotallyOz 3 Quote
TotallyOz Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I am feeling better today and went out tonight in front of my hotel to people watch as I had to get out of my hotel room. In front of the hotel is a large beach that everyone plays volleyball and soccer. There is an area for skateboarders and roller bladders. I always enjoy just sitting and watching everyone. eeyore and flipao 2 Quote
