When will the Academy stop of being so sexist? Why good looking guys seems never get a chance of getting an actor award, while the gals...

Just to be in this century: Nicole, Angelina, Halle, Charlize, Jennifer Conelly, Rachel Weiz and now Jennifer Lawrence, a 22 year old no less. Can anyone imagining a 22 year old pretty boy winning an Oscar? Just asking...

To confess, I haven't seen her performance yet because a dear friend of mine, whose opinion I respect, was so boringly take aback by Silver Linings, that he could see no conceivable "silver lining", no possible state of affairs to justify his staying in the theatre. Let's hope the Supreme Court doesn't apply such a "rational basis" test when it comes to our fundamental rights!

Although I thought Bradley Cooper could have won this year for Silver Linings Playbook. And Channing Tatum was robbed of his performance in Magic Mike. jk

Yes, and Timothy Hutton was still a child, and DeNiro although attractive, hardly a babe. We want Channing, Pettyfer, Hellmsworths and the like, preferably with some acting chops. What happens is the Academy is 75% male and whenever possible they vote for babes, since the sexism. We are in the business of glorifying the pretty boys, so we should lobby for better holes for them, for our enjoyment and seeing them more respected and more pro eminent in the media for our pleasure.

I heartily concur!

(Is this not a classic example of the so-called 'Freudian slip'? :P )
