Guest FourAces Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I love some of these old photos I have been finding of the late President. This one was taken leaving his limo (notice top down) to enter Peter Lawfords Santa Monica beach home on November 20, 1961. Just a year and two days before he was assassinated Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Wow it's a very nice picture... I love B&W pictures... It does induce a bit different emotional response than colored photos... I don't why... Quote
Members boiworship Posted February 20, 2013 Members Posted February 20, 2013 It was actually two years before his very public murder. I wish we had presidents like him these days. Quote
Members Lucky Posted February 20, 2013 Members Posted February 20, 2013 I like FourAces and generally read whatever he posts, but this is the second time now that he has posted a vintage (aren't they all?) picture of JFK as if it were something rare. There are trillions of photos of JFK out there, many in black and white. So why get excited over any particular one, unless it shows his dick penetrating Marilyn? Quote

You obviously didn't notice Jimmy Hoffa standing in the crowd of onlookers. FourAces may wax nostalgic once in a while, but he does not waste our time. Quote

I'm pretty sure that there are even MORE picturs of naked men out there, and yet...people frequently share ones that strike their fancy. Quote
Members Lucky Posted February 21, 2013 Members Posted February 21, 2013 Well, that's a different subject, but I'll bite. We are inundated with pix of naked guys. There doesn't seem to be a young man anywhere who hasn't posed nude. Yes, I like to look, but when you can do so 24/7, and have more pix than you have time to look at, well, something is lost. It used to be a rarity of sorts to find a sexy pic. A moment to be treasured. You might store the pic under the mattress or a book cover to look at later. But now, no need. Just tweet the kid next door that you want to see his cock, and there it is on your Iphone! Some of the fun has gone out of it when it is no longer a novelty. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 True... Hot photos are everywhere... But there are pics that stand out and inspire you... For me a pic doesn't have to a naked guy in it to be sexy.. A pic of hard working guy at a desk is sometimes hot enough for me... That's amazing thing in life, I guess.. Quote

FourAces may wax nostalgic once in a while, but he does not waste our time. I don't think I came even close to suggesting that he was wasting any one's time. I am just curious as to why he posted the pic. A little more info was all I was after. I made a point to say that I like his posts. Quote

The one time I neglect to use a smiley face in a post and it comes back to haunt me! See if I make that mistake again! (Happily, FourAces liked it. ) ( ) Quote

Guest FourAces Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I guess in one respect Lucky is correct they all are vintage at this point .. but I amusing the term vintage or classic as in something old and special. I think these real life moments instead of real life work moments ... in stark black and white are very cool. I post them to share if others don't care for them so be it. I will still keep smiling Quote

Members lookin Posted February 22, 2013 Members Posted February 22, 2013 Lookin it doesn't become of you to use rolling eyes icon.. Actually, Hi, I've been rather unbecoming since 1973. Besides, if you took away my rolling eyes smiley, I'd be functionally mute. Not that there's anything wrong with that. AdamSmith 1 Quote

Members Lucky Posted February 22, 2013 Members Posted February 22, 2013 Well, like FourAces, I am a bit of a Kennedy buff. So, when he posts a picture, I wonder why. Why did he post it, why did he choose that one. Not why in the sense of why is he going back 50 years, or why is he wasting our time. I just finished The Third Bullet, Stephen Hunter's attempt to understand the JFK assassination through the eyes of a professional sniper, his character Bob Lee Swagger. Clearly Oswald did not have what it takes to shoot the president, and Hunter comes up with a theory that is new to me. He has a professional sniper in the Dal-Tex building adjacent to the Texas book Depository making the real hit. He quietly sneaks away while the Texas building is under investigation first. Another cute thing Hunter does is have a character posit that a time traveler came back from the future to kill Kennedy. It seems that Oswald, in fact, missed, and JFK lived to become reborn as a pacifist. That didn't work out too well, and so with only about 100000 humans left, this guy goes back in time to kill him and undo all the harm he did. It's a pretty interesting scenario. Quote
