Guest hitoallusa Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Lol... I know I like miracles too much.. "Sometimes" ( well AS you might disagree with this vocabulary but you need to save my face too eh hem.. ) I can be irrational... My impetus was actually to illustrate this essential element in our hitoall's reasoning process. Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 15, 2013 Members Posted May 15, 2013 Not to worry. No one yet has not. Best regards, RA1 AdamSmith 1 Quote
AdamSmith Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 LOL. It would seem his question left off one or two fairly significant qualifiers. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 You mean doing well in the course, right? I love taking courses.. Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 16, 2013 Members Posted May 16, 2013 One has to work very hard to become an excellent sexual harasser. I think only one course would not be sufficient. Are there not advanced courses in S&M, bondage, necrophilia and others? When you have a master's degree in each, let me know. Yes, master. Best regards, RA1 AdamSmith 1 Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 17, 2013 Members Posted May 17, 2013 How do we know a dog's father is not homophobic? Of course, unless we were there at the time, how do we know who the dog's father actually is? What about the other 1499 species? How we know their actions weren't a decision? Are you saying it is genetic? Personally I prefer 509's. In case someone does not get this, it is all tongue in cheek (but I won't say whose). Of course all prejudices are learned, to include being homophobic. Best regards, RA1 AdamSmith 1 Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 In a labor extensive society, you need children and family to help you do many chores and jobs around the household. I don't think it's unnatural, bad or evil for our ancestors not to accept homosexuality as a norm. It's just that the past living conditions couldn't fully accommodate gay life style. It applies to the current immigration reform in the US... We know it's good to be generous and compasionate but some people won't open their hearts to these innocent American dream seekers because of mainly economic and social issues. We came to a point where our social and economic conditions can support and accommodate gays. I don't think this change came about because we are morally superior or natural than our ancestors. One more not-a-joke-at-all... Quote
AdamSmith Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Bullshit. There are enough examples of pre-modern societies accepting same-sex-attracted people to refute your economic hypothesis entirely. This prejudice has many origins, but that ain't one of them. Read your history. RA1 1 Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 17, 2013 Members Posted May 17, 2013 Are ancient Greeks pre-modern? Of course they are, even today. OTOH I would like to have young guys running around doing chores at my "farm". They would not necessarily be my offspring but certainly welcome. Best regards, RA1 Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 You seem to define homosexuality too broadly. If you mean it by saying its just sex between two men then of course you might be right. But compared to socially accepted practice such as passing exams to be certified as a medical professional, homosexuality was treated differently even in Ancient Greece or early Roman Empire.. Bullshit. There are enough examples of pre-modern societies accepting same-sex-attracted people to refute your economic hypothesis entirely. This prejudice has many origins, but that ain't one of them. Read your history. Quote
AdamSmith Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 If I could understand that, I think I would go apply to be a translator at the UN. Or a diplomat! Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Let's leave it at that then I guess it's beyond my limited ability to explain my irrational thoughts.. BTW Oh my you would make such a good diplomat... You will be very good in photos.. If you need a good attaché, call me.. If I could understand that, I think I would go apply to be a translator at the UN. Or a diplomat! Quote
Members RA1 Posted May 17, 2013 Members Posted May 17, 2013 No one can successfully translate what goes on at the UN, however, a diplomat could save the earth, could one be found. Best regards, RA1 Quote
