Why can't they have a donation event that can help the gay community? It doesn't have to be all sex I suppose... What about an art performance... I have never been to the event but it sounds so dark and cheap.. After all the Roman Empire had fallen with its debauchery and excessive hedonistic ways.. How could a group of people who induced vomit so that they could eat more food lead the empire to prosperity... It's poverty and destruction for all and we can do better than imitate their ways.. IMHO...

Sorry to depart from the OP's focus for a moment, but just to note that the historical "fall of Rome" (not the OP event! ) has recently been pretty well concluded to been due to things like stretching itself too thinly to do much once the Germanic peoples who had been after all somewhat incorporated by Roman conquest, rebelled once the empire could no longer defend. Etc.

If you look at the last dynasty of China you will see how corrupt it was morally. I don't think Qing dynasty fell because of its territory was too big or stretched out.. When the empress dowager could freely use the fund appropriated for the navy to build her summer palace for her herself, you know the country is bound to fall...

Not that I'm against the event but I do want to see positive activities in our community that show that we can do great things to the world... Just my opinion...

Honeyboi, what I think is that you weren't so much anti-Black Party as anti-sex. Sex is dirty, right? People have sex and they get stds! Doesn't matter where they have sex. Could be at the Black Party, could be after the Black Party, could be after meeting online or at a gay bar.

You color your anti-sex tirade with an anti-Black Party exterior, but it's really gay sex that bothers you. Most of the people going to the Black Party don't have sex there, but you would shut it down. Tsk tsk. Gay men really shouldn't have sex because of those stds.

I had a great time at the Black Party, and I went twice. But if you had your way, neither I nor the thousands of guys who enjoy it would be able to go. It would be shut down!

I have been to the Black Party more times than I care to remember and I always had fun. The shows are great and wild. The music is amazing. I did go inside the "dark room" but I was with a BF and he and I played together and not with others. I have no problem with anyone wanting sex in a dark room. Adults should be able to make their own decisions.

I have yet to see any show on earth that has amazing porn stars fucking on stage and having a blast.

If I were in NYC, I'd go. But, I use to live only a 5 min walk from Roseland so it was easy back in my youth.

I have been to the Black Party a few times and it was fun. But it was the White Party that I miss the most. Light frothy gay disco music (which I miss even more these days) and dancing for hours. The original Saint was a lot of fun and I miss those days too.It is very sad that many from that era are no longer with us. For those who go, have a great time and report back.
