OMG, I would never cruise on Carnival!

Well, they didn't hit an iceberg so Titanic II is out. In fact they probably would have paid a king's ransom for an onboard iceberg. Poseidon Adventure II? No, I think Shelley Winters is not available. How about, Once Upon a Time We Decided to Go on a Family Cruise (was that ever a mistake)?

Disney World, This Ain't?

I am sure our fellow posters can fill in with many suggestions. ^_^

Best regards,

Are we sinking this ship or is it to be ship wrecked on Gilligan's Island? ^_^ I think I saw those three you mentioned in pictures where they were handing out sheets. Or was that the KKK which is coming to MEM next month? One or the other.

Best regards,

And, yet thousands of cruises set sail without this kind of difficulty.

News flash from Fox News, another Carnival ship in trouble...

Another Carnival cruise liner is experiencing problems with its propulsion system, power outages and overflowing toilets while docked in the Caribbean, one month after a fire crippled the Carnival Triumph in the Gulf of Mexico.

A U.S. Coast Guard spokeswoman in Miami told the Associated Press Thursday that Carnival Dream's captain reported possible trouble with the ship's propulsion system. Petty Officer Sabrina Laberdesque said the ship has sewage and power and officials are working to correct the problems. She says the Coast Guard is not involved because the ship is moored.

Welcome again to Carnival Cursed Line!

"MOBILE, ALA.

CBS affiliate WKRG is reporting that the Carnival Triumph cruise ship has broken loose from the port and has drifted across the river. Crews were searching for a missing shipyard worker whose guard shack was blown into the water by the same strong winds, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

Authorities said the Triumph becoming dislodged and the shack blowing into the water were not directly related.

The National Weather Service reported winds between 35 and 65 mph blowing through the area on Wednesday afternoon.

Two shipyard workers fell into the water when the winds hit their guard shack, said Steve Huffman, spokesman for the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department.

"We recovered one person. He was taken to the hospital. He will be fine, the only thing he's suffering from is mild hypothermia," Huffman said.""

Carnival Cursed Line continues. For a ship to fail a CDC inspection is a rare event:

Citing live flies, dried food waste and even a "roach nymph," inspectors for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have given the 2,056-passenger Carnival Fascination a failing health grade.

In a report made public this week, inspectors from the CDC's Vessel Sanitation Program scored the Fascination at 84. Ships docking at U.S. ports receive surprise inspections twice a year and are graded on a 100-point scale. Anything below 86 is considered failing.

Well here are 2 people who won't be sailing Carnival, again:

""Authorities in Australia are searching for a couple who apparently fell overboard on a Carnival Spirit cruise ship the night before it was scheduled to dock in Sydney, according to surveillance video, police said.

The couple -- a 30-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman -- was reported missing this morning after the ship docked at Sydney's Circular Quay at the end of a 10-day journey, New South Wales state Police Superintendent Mark Hutchings said, according to The Associated Press.""
