Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome

Did anyone catch the prequel on the SyFy channel on Sunday? It's a two hour movie that follows a very young Adama fresh out of the Academy as he starts to fight the Cylons 10 years into the war.

The actor playing the young Adama is a gorgeous twink. YUM YUM YUM YUM

I taped it (ok - I DVR'd it) but haven't watched it yet. But I find it somewhat odd that it's being rel;eased so quickly on DVD. and usually SyFy re-broadcasts shows multiple times during the week - not sure they did this?.

Keep in mind it was first released as free webisodes--after it sat on the shelf for over a year. That show's distribution was fucked up from the beginning.

But the BluRay will have an extended cut and other special features.

I watched it over the weekend and liked it, but it didn't seem to me to portend a great series.

Very low budget as a prequel web series initially.
