Guest hitoallusa Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 It is likely a foreign software company at a foreign country manipulated the lottery system by generating fake winners and then government officials, foreign software providers, lottery managers divided the unclaimed prize money among themselves. Since the company who provided the software can use their foreign status to protect themselves from legal issues, it is very hard to investigate. I don't think it can happen in US lottery system but wonder it could happen too. What we see is not all and there are so many unethical activities perpetuated by extremely cunning people in the dark. They find out who has a winning ticket and buy the ticket from them in cash (which the winner then doesn't have to pay tax on) and then the mob cashes in the ticket and has legal income. Quote
