Guest josephga Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I'm having knee surgery next Wednesday. about 2 weeks ago I tore the ACL in my right knee. Quote
Members MsGuy Posted January 17, 2013 Members Posted January 17, 2013 Good luck, Josephga. Forty years ago rehab from that was a total painful bitch but no doubt they have better methods now. Quote
Guest NCBored Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Good luck. I hope you have someone who can help you during the recovery/rehab period. Quote
Members BigK Posted January 18, 2013 Members Posted January 18, 2013 Hope all goes well and hope you have someone to help during your recovery. I guess you won't be giving massages for a while. Quote
Guest hitoallusa Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I hope it goes well and you recover soon. Quote
Guest josephga Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I have to go in again monday to have it looked at again. I'm hoping the injury is small enough that it can heal on its own or through rehab. Last 2 days it hasn't bothered me as much Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I truly do hope it goes well, but I have to ask the $64,000 question. . . .does this mean you've been on your knees too much? Quote
AdamSmith Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 If this helps any, several relatives report that new knees are well worth the trouble & short-term pain. (Providing enough opioids in the recovery phase!) Quote
Guest josephga Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 LOL actually I was in the gym working out on the elliptical rider. Like I have done 100s of times, during the final 2 minutes I felt a pop in the knee. I've been working since then but wearing knee brace on that knee... Quote
TotallyOz Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 I hope all goes well for you! Take care of yourself! Quote
