TotallyOz Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I deleted multiple posts re: Butterfly Pub as the message was posted under a screen name that was under moderation. Moderation means that a message will not be approved until a Moderator logs into the site to check the forum and approves the message. The poster could not wait for this and posted under a different screen name. That name was also put under moderation and that thread set for moderator discussion. The poster could not wait again and posted a few more times. Instead of approving the thread and allowing one of them to be live on the site, I have removed them all. The post in itself was not an issue. It was the multiple postings under different names. Had the poster just waited, the post would have been returned to the site. We are happy to have businesses post here and the thread in question would have been returned to the site. For those of you that don't get the chain of events, I apologize. I am not sure all the above was clearly explained. I will now go out for my first drink of the night to get my mind clearer. Quote
Gaybutton Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 It seems perfectly clear to me. If a poster has been placed on moderated mode or has been banned, we are not going to tolerate that same poster trying to circumvent our decision by coming in and posting under a different handle. I don't know whether you have done so, but when someone tries to pull a stunt like that, I would permanently ban him from being able to post on this web site. He had to know he is on moderated mode even if he did not receive a PM or email telling him so. When someone on moderated mode tries to post, a message pops up informing him his post will not be visible until and unless a moderator approves it. Quote
