TotallyOz Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I have been lucky enough to see several of his buildings in Brazil over the years and was always taken by them. He was Brazil's most famous architect. He died today at the age of 104. He will be missed. If you have time, take a look at the link and some of his iconic works! http://photos.denverpost.com/2012/12/06/photos-brazilian-architect-oscar-niemeyer-dies-at-the-age-of-104/#1 Quote
Members Buddy2 Posted December 8, 2012 Members Posted December 8, 2012 Even if he only designed the city of Brasilia, he would be in the front ranks of architects. I am still not sure building a new city in the middle of nowhere was a good idea. But, I was overwhelmed by the sights when I visited Brasilia about a decade ago. TotallyOz 1 Quote
