Guest EXPAT Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 While the movement to have Macy's drop Donald Trump from their stores and advertising campaigns continues to garner major support, Macy's doesn't seem interested in firing The Donald. "Macy's marketing and merchandise offerings are not representative of any political position. Many of the individuals associated with products sold at Macy's -- or at any retailer, for that matter -- express personal opinions that are not related to the merchandise we sell or to the philosophies of our company." Members axiom2001 Posted November 15, 2012 Members Posted November 15, 2012 I usually don't post negatives about anyone, but with "The Donald" I can't resist. I wish Macy's and all other sane and astute companies would drop that "douche bag" of a man! Although he's monied, he's very pathetic! JKane 1 Quote
Members TampaYankee Posted November 16, 2012 Members Posted November 16, 2012 Everybody that doesn't wish to be embarrassed by association with America's biggest joke and clown should dump Donald. On the other hand, maybe they think a rank 'side show' would be beneficial to increased traffic. It is a trade to be evaluated: tarnished image for increased traffic. Macy's has slid in 'class' over the last couple of decades. Maybe this fits in. JKane 1 Quote
Members JKane Posted November 16, 2012 Members Posted November 16, 2012 For what it's worth, I sent them an email: http://www.macysinc.com/contact-us/ thinking that may do slightly more than signing some online petition. Still this side of fuck-all, most likely. But I said if he appears in ads this season for Macy's I'll never step foot in there again, and I mean it! Quote
Members Lucky Posted November 16, 2012 Members Posted November 16, 2012 Thanks, JKane, for providing that link. I sent them this: Comments: Your refusal to listen to over 600,000 customers on the Donald Trump issue is insulting. You are alienating customers like me by keeping your association with this dimwit.
